Question your thoughts on these two names together?

Well we have just found out we will be having another boy & I thought right away YAY.....Archie it is!!!! DH loves the name & so do I....it's always been talked about.

Anywho a close friend asked about names & I wasn't going to say anything but she lives in another state so thought what the heck....she's a good mate. WELL () she also speaks her mind LOL. And mentioned it's a bit of a tounge tie with DS name Charlie. We did think about it at first & have thought about Archer.

So I thought I value the opinions of you guys on BB. What do you think of Charlie & Archie? I think they go together as in older style names....but now I'm wondering do they sound too similar. Should we go with Archer, or last on the list Oscar. Oh now I don't know.

My sister's name and mine both end in the ie sound, it's never caused any issues. Go with what you want and don't listen to anyone else.

I think they sound great together!! 'Charlie and Archie stop doing that!' has a nice ring to it

I do like Archer as a compromise, you coud always call him Archie as a nickname...

    Hope that helps

It's not like you're going to say their names together too often - I know it seems like that, but with one I used his name, now I have two, it's 'the boys'. I'm too lazy to say two full names together when I can say 'the boys'.

They fit in nicely with each other though, style wise.

I love them together....good choice...oh by the way congrats on another boy

My DDs are Olivia and rebecca...end in a....so does mine actually...Melissa, not that we meant that. They both get nick names bec and Liv, becca and livy, sounds fine. If we have another dd then she'll probably end up similar!

If you and DH love Archie go for it it's really your opinions that count when it comes to it.

LOOOOOVE THEM - totally go for it! You'll regret it if you 'play it safe' and dont go with what you love in your heart of hearts! (I played it safe and wish I hadn't!)

I say it's a win. Go with Archie. Cute.

The issue you would have is if you go for a number 3, then a non "ie" name would be the odd one out...

I agree with the others....I actually think Archer and Charlie are actually harder to say together. Nelle's right, rarely do you say the two name together....
