Do you think I'll get sick?

I just ate raw chicken!!! I cooked up chicken filos for tea and got 3/4 of the way through mine before DH said his was raw........It was too dark to see whether mine was cooked or not so I took it through to the kitchen where it is lighter and saw mine was too!! Will it make me sick?

    I really hope not Tinkerbell

It probably depends on how fresh the chicken was, how much of it you ate, how strong your stomach is........

It was a frozen Spinach Filo chicken thing. I didn't have it in the oven long enough. I hope I have an iron gut right about now.

I think if you get through tonight unscathed you're all good

Here's hoping you go to bed and wake up in the morning feeling fine.

Unless you had it sitting out getting warm before cooking, there shouldn't be a bacteria issue with the chicken.
If you've managed to get away without vomiting by now, you'll be fine!

I didn't vomit but I was up all night with a sore stomach. I don't know if it's related to the chicken though. I get that particular sore stomach sometimes, haven't had it in over a year though.

She'll be right Tinks Geez, i hope so

I think your sore stomach might be psychological. As your expecting something to happen. The power of the brain is amazing.

Glad to hear you weren't violently ill!! Hopefully the stomach ache either wasn't related or that's it and it's over.

Actually it can take a few days for it to make you sick if there is a bacteria in the food..

But the chances are still pretty low. And your tummy might be strong enough to deal with it anyhow, the soreness is all you will get.. I would just make sure I have rehydration drinks on hand in case it does hit in a few days..
