What baby photos do you wish you had taken?

Time is flying by...I can't believe it's been a month already! So before she grows up way too quickly I'm trying to get as many piccies as possible...DF calls me a japanese tourist and always picks on how many photos we have of our dog - well we're going to have 5 times as many of our baby girl! Lol

What photos do you wish you had taken of your babies? Any particular scenarios (e.g. asleep/bath time/feed time), angles or anything else you wish had documented while they were still so young?

I'm a hobby photographer and have done some semi-professional stuff myself so I'm never satisfied that I've taken every shot possible in any subject, whether it's my DD or something else entirely.

I wish I'd got some tasteful black & white nude shots. I really wanted photos of my DH holding DD naked against his bare chest, but at the time he was really unhappy about his body shape and was going through depression so wouldn't pose for me, even though I said that in most cases I wouldn't get his face in and that DD would be covering up his belly. Maybe for the next bub.

I wish I had more photos with me in them with my children! I am ALWAYS the person taking the pics, so looking back there are only a handful of pics that have me in them too compared to the hundreds with DH in them.

i know what you mean Lisa. I'm always the one behind the camera too... Got DF to take a few of me & Hayley last night, but he doesn't really care about the photo, just one shot and there you go. Whereas I take a million shots (well maybe not quite that many) of the one thing..I just keep snapping away but he is happy to take just one photo!

I'm the same!! I LOVE taking photos and I love photography... I too, take my camera out with us almost wherever we go..... I take at least 1 or 2 photos of DD every day. Time just goes too fast, I can't believe she is 6mths already where has time gone???!
    They change so fast....

My DH is in more photos with DD than I am too as i'm always the one with the camera taking the photo and have to make sure I ask him to take a pic of me in it too!!!

Nice ones with me! I'm always the one taking the photos or I look less than my best when DH grabs the camera.

LOL, I take photos of DD every day, DH is always laughing at me about it. I think I have photos of everything she has ever done.
I need more photos with me in them too and some with the three of us all together.

That's what I wish too, especially with DS1. I just wished ( and still do ) that DP would think to take a photo of me and the boys sometimes without me having to ask. There are quite a few ones of him sleeping with either of our boys when they were little, and I look back and wish there was at least one photo like that with me in it.

I wish I had more photos of us in hospital. The couple I do have I had to ask for!!

Other than that, the same as the rest of you - more with me in them too! There's still time for that I guess but the newborn photo opportunity is lost now

I am the same, would LOVE pics of me with DD but DP just doesn't think to pick up the camera at all, i get photos of EVERYTHING, the first foods ones are always pretty funny with pumpkin etc all over their face.

One tip is if people have given them 'SPECIAL' outfits even if your not going to put it on them (ie not practical for the season etc) put it on and take a couple of happy snaps and then pop them in a pocket album for x-mas, everyone LOVES getting pics with something they gave the bub in it with them, then not everyone has the same photo 100 times over.. hehe

Happy snapping, it's so much fun.

Ditto to everyone about photos with me!

One thing I have done & everyone I mention it to loves the idea.... I get a photo at the same time as the birth each year. For Alexzander I set my alarm & get up at 1.27am & have done so on his birthday each year. Juliette is a bit easier because she was born at 12.06pm, but I'm not sure how to continue it once she's at school!

GREAT idea Sarah, I am so stealing that idea..........How cool to look at them at that time and think back "this time X years ago....."

We missed out on the 'just born' photo as Bailey was whisked away to the special care nursery, that always makes me a little sad, but his health was much more important so in the overall scheme of things it doesn't matter

I wish we had more photos of in hospital - particular straight after she was born. we hardly have many at all and the one i do have i look like death warmed up!
I wish that i had some breast feeding shots also - as i too only managed to do it for a short amount of time
I wish that i had the nakey black and white ones of Bub and DH and even myself
I wish i had more photos with me in them - cause like everyone else im the one always taking the photo
I wish i even had some preg belly shots!

Other than that i take soooo many photos of my bubba girl and have 100's of her doing the same thing - i just can't get enough of her - i love her soooo much!

I don't have any photos of me and ds when he was born in hospital. and there isn't any photos of me ds and dh at the hospital either... I really get upset when I think about it too because it was important to me to have those photos taken and now that opportunity is gone
