In disposibles at night, but wetting through

My DS (nearly 3) is no where near night trained. He is waking very wet in the mornings. We are reducing liquids in the evening, but he still seems to be waking up wet.
I have just ordered 2 bed pads, to reduce the washing.
He is currently using Huggies nappies - the largest size you can buy, but he is soaking through these.
Any suggestions for a good night nappy?
I have rung mediquip, and they are sedning me out some adult samples in the smaller sizes, but I think they wil lbe too large.

    TIA

I have always used cloth during the day and disposables at night, but have recently changed over to cloth at night and haven't had any leaks yet. DS1 is 2 1/2 and was often out weeing his disposables.

You could try putting a pad in the nappy, or boost it up with some cloth boosters?

we get DD1 to go to the toilet before bath then again before bed, twice in around 20 mins, maybe try getting him to use the loo a few times before bed

    Thanks for the advice.
Tonight I have put him to bed with a pad in the nappy. I was thinking that I might use some bamboo boosters that I have (As he was in cloth during the day before he toilet trained)

AJP - Yah I have been taking him to the loo just on bed time, and before his bath, but he still is a mega wetter.

Was thinking of trying the dry nights. I can buy them from a supplies a bit cheaper. Mught gat a pack from the supermarket, give them a try, then if the bamboo doesn't work, use them. Also good for when he stays at Nanna's/

You can buy cloth trainers (waterproof ones) in all different sizes.

My nearly 3yo is day trained and wears a training pant (bluberry aio pullup style with a feel wet inner) under a pair of longies. She sleeps on a brolly sheet, over her bedding. So no bedding to change if she wets overnight. Only the brollysheet. but so far, not even that, cos nothing gets past the woollen longies (lanolised).

She wets about one night in seven. When ill (cold etc), this increases, and then i put her back in cloth night nappies.

There are heaps of waterproof cloth trainers on the market (made for toddlers and young children), here are some brands for you

    • bumwear pocket trainers
    • bummi
    • motherease
    • happy heiny pocket trainers
    • daddledoo pocket traienrs
    • starbunz aio/optional pocket style
    • genesa forge nappy knickers a12 style
    • blueberry aio pullups

    they vary in
    - rise
    - whether inner is staydry fabric or absorbent (feel wet) fabric
    - pullup like pants, or snaps on side (which child pulls up or down like knickers, you only use the snaps if there is poo action and you the adult need quick access to change the child).

i've been very happy with the (waterproof) cloth trainers, no bedding to wash, can't complain about that.

Just re-read your post, you sound like you want to know about NIGHT NAPPIES, more than NIGHT TRAINERS, sorry, i mis-read.

    Night nappies for big wetters:

great thread on Nappycino about that topic by the way.

Fluffy bub make a night nappy called Dreams
Good night sleep tight by Bubblebubs, make a Heavy wetter nappy
back soon, got crying child here

I went and bought some Tena lady pads and put one of those in the nappy last night. It worked, but it would be a costly way to do it. But he also has a tummy bug at the moment. so ended up with the runs. It contained it all.
