Unhappy DS keeps waking up crying :(

I've gotta preface this with the fact that DS never cries unless he is ill......and he doesn't have a temp or anything like that.....

He's never been a great sleeper - waking anywhere betweek 3-7 times per night.

The last 3 nights he has been waking frequently and then crying .... which he never does.

I put him on the boob and he feeds - but even after he's done and drifted back off to sleep if I take him off and try to lie him down (We cosleep) he screams his head off.

He won't even let me feed him laying down - I have to be sitting up. I am exhausted!!!

He is also feeding more frequently during the day....

    Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe if he's crying when he's laying down it could be reflux or something like that?

bout to say the same thing.. sounds like reflux. Ide be taking him to the GP or pead to get checked out.

he will feed more frequently because it stops the burning sensation while he is feeding coz its not coming back up.

I have some infant gaviscon here i can send u, just pm me. postage is on me.

Could it be teeth? This is what DD did when she got hers. She would wake up crying and only feel settled when on the booby.

    Thanks girls...
He's never had reflux before and he's not chucking or crying during the day if I lay down to feed him or lay him down for his sleep.
    Do you think that matters?

MM - Thats so sweet - thanks

ETA: I can't see any teeth but he has had rosy cheeks ..... he chews on everything so I haven't noticed any difference there and he's actuallt drooling less than normal....

Ohhh, Beth wouldn't let us sit down when we were holding her at one stage!
Lots of the time she would wake as soon as she could feel me put her down, no matter how deep a sleep she was in, drove me batty...

Maybe he is having some dreams and just wants to be close? I dunno - it might be likely he just wants to keep mummy on her toes

If his cheeks are rosy it could be teething? Ava was never a drooler with teeth

Yeah, you get a break clasp so it will come off before chocking him. I use an anklet, though and just trap it under her socks haha
