Slide And Playhouse In One - Where To Buy?

We've only got a small backyard but want to buy DD a little slide and playhouse so off we went to Toys R Us today.

The one I liked had a playhouse with two separate bits. It had an underneathy bit that you could fill with sand as a sandpit and then an upper bit that they can stand on and generally do look at me type stuff. On the outside were cutouts that they could climb up. Plus it had a little slide.

Great! But it was $500!!!!! There were cheaper ones but they weren't as multifunctional. Either the slide wasn't as good or the playhouse wasn't as good.

So DP and I thought that was a bit of a ridiculous price and we should do some shopping around.

Where've you bought yours from? Remembering it can't be too big.

We got ours from a toy store - from memory it was $400

PIty you aren't near me, cos I'm selling mine on ebay at the moment because we're not hauling it to tassie with us.

Look on ebay - there are a few cheap ones on there that might be selling from your area.

Thanks for the tip Ammaki! We found a cute wooden playhouse and a separate slide in Bunnings and it still comes to about $100 less than the plastic house/slide in Toys R Us. We couldn't fit it in the car so DP is going back tomorrow. Can't wait to set it up for DD.
