im just after some ideas on 4 wheel prams with a removable toddler seat?? We have a steelcraft strider now for our nearly one year old but when bubs comes we need something to accomadate the two of them and i would like something that we can take the toddler seat off if when its not needed.
Any opinions/advice would be appreaciated thanks
Have you seen the ABC Adventure Buggy? Its like the mountain buggy (also manufactured in New Zealand), is the width of a single pram, but the toddler seat goes up the top facing Mum - so neither childs view is blocked by the other. They also have a new infant/toddler reclining toddler seat, so that the newborn can face Mum at eye level and recline when sleepy (comes complete with hood & rain cover etc), and the toddler can face outwards down the bottom. They also have a front mounted toddler seat if you prefer this - although from reviews I believe this option is harder to steer.
The pram is traditionally a 3 wheeler - but when you buy the package with the additional seat they recommend (and I'm pretty sure include) an additional 4th wheel with adapter bar for extra stability (they have pics of all this with video demos on their website).
Go bubba go is the Australian distributor of this pram- unfortunately its not cheap but top quality!!
If your looking for something a bit less pricey, I know the love n care Uni Coupe takes a front mounted toddler seat.
Goodluck.

I don't know much about the prams with removable toddler seats, but I have a friend who has a toddler (about 2) and has just had another baby. When her first baby was born, she bought a pram that had one of those toddler seats that attached to the top of the pram not thinking much about the weight limit. She is really dissappointed because the weight limit on the toddler seat is 15kg and her two year old already weighs 13kg. She is thinking she won't get much use out of it. So I guess my point is to be aware of weight capacity and think about how long you want to use the pram for. Sorry no advice on an individual pram but hope that helps
We bought the Baby Jogger City Elite but it's a three wheeler. The toddler seat is about $130 extra and easily attaches to the front of the pram. We love our pram, can't wait to use it!!
