    10mth olds routine?

Ok so i know every baby is different and different environments etc have different affects but just wondering what routine YOUR baby was in around 10-12mths, when did the routine of day sleeps change?

My DD who is 10.5mths has been in a fairly good routine for the last month or so as follows:
    7:30am - bottle
    8 - 8:30am - solids
    10am - sleep (1-2hrs unless sick and it's a guaranteed 30min)
11:00am - bottle * if sleeps past 11 will have at 11:30 or skip to solids at 12
    12:00 - solids
    1:00pm - bottle if missed at 11
    2:30 - afternoon snack
    3:00pm - sleep (generally 45min to 1hr30min sometimes lucky with 2hrs)
    5 - 5:30 - bottle
    6 - 6:30 - solids
then bed when tired so generally about 7 - 7:30 no later than 8

She wakes maybe once or twice for her dummy over night but is generally awake anywhere b/w 6 & 7 and comes into our bed for some daddy time before he goes to work. (she has always slept well over night, started 8 - 10hr sleeps from about 2-3mths old)

When do they start wanting less sleep during the day and when did you change their nap til?
Also i know we are supposed to swap bottles and food around about now but i find DD is a GUTS and will just continually eat and then sometimes wont take a bottle, i am ok if she drops to 2 full bottles a day but can't guarantee this will happen, did anyone not swap foods yet?

hi avasmum, My DS still has 3-4 sleeps a day, his "normal " (I say that loosely!) routine is probably

8-9am wakeup - BFeed, floor play, bfast , clean up then sleep for around 45mins to an hour,

9-10- wakeup, play , by this time im usually out and about doing stuff.

11-12- play, then when he starts getting whingey, down for a sleep with a bfeed.

around 1pm- wakeup, will try to bf, as the last one isnt usually big, sometimes he will, sometimes he wont....then lunch, play.

2-3- pm - another bfeed and down to sleep again, usually only 45mins. play when wakes up.

4-5- another feed and down again till 6- (usually goes down around 4:30ish, sleep for about 1 and a half to 2 hrs)

6-6:30- wakeup and have dinner, play,
7-7:30- bathtime, feed, bed around 8-8:30......will usually sleep till 4-5am with a quick feed in there, (not always) then wakeup 6-7 , bfeed then will sleep till 8-9am.

like I said, this is "usual" but I just try to follow his lead, if he is tired, sleep, is he is hungry, feed. I havent really "set" a routine, this is what he does by himself!

some days he will only have 2 sleeps during the day, then the 4-5 sleep will be longer. and he has been dropping feeds occasionally too.
my Ds is a champion eater too, he will just eat and eat until we stop giving it to him, so I try to give him finger foods he can play around with at lunch.
hmm, dont know if I answered your question! (got distracted by ds a few times while writing this!) HTH. x

Hey Avasmum.....I have a 9 month old and have been trying to implement some sort of routine and I found yours. Looks great! And she eats and sleeps well...I only wish I had a good sleeper!!! ANyway thats a different story!

I have been giving food before bottles only because rebecca wouldnt eat solids..even after a few hours. She would eat a little but just wasnt interested. So she is doing well on the food first bottle later, however she is still having around 4 bottles a day. She also sleeps 2 times during the day. These times are hit and miss and so is bed time. Shes up at least twice at night too. Sometimes for a feed.

I remember with DD1 she dropped to 1 day sleep around 9 months old and was only having an afternoon nap from 1 til 4pm. It worked well with her as she then started going to bed earlier...around 830. She dropped her day sleeps all together at the start of the year, just before she turned 2..... but now goes to sleep around 730 and sleeps 11 hours straight.

For me I just let them decide when they want to drop a sleep. Some people prefer them to have leeps in the morning to help them get to bed earier at night, whereas others prefer after lunch naps...up to you. I suppose it depends on your circumstances. Do you have to go to work at all? I am at home so I should make a set sleep time for dd2 (trying). As for the food/bottle...if shes eating well and having enough wet nappies, then shes getting enough fluid and you are doing well.

And thanks for a look at your routine!
