Glucose Drink

I had my GTT today and couldnt believe how nice the drink was!! So much better than the green one I remember - this one I had today tasted just like lemonade. I was so thirsty after having fasted since the night before I could have drank 3 ottles of the stuff

Anyone not like the drink or have a bad reaction?

So many people had said ohh its yuck and u will want to be sick bit i thought it was great!!

Unfortunately for me i ended up having GD - but still i enjoyed the drink and loved it again when i had to do my repeat test after DD was 6 weeks - i am a very sweet tooth person tho!

Nup! I thought it was disgusting! I'm not a huge fan of sugar myself, & to me it was pretty much just a straight sugar syrup. I had to force it in & hold it in...wasn't fun!

I didnt mind it but have to say I had a bad reaction afterwards, when I got home I was dizzie and feeling sick! havent had that b4 but I dont have GD so that is good

I was like krissie! I loved the taste of it, but i looove my sweet stuff! but yeah, i got dizzy and felt quite ill afterwards.....no gd though! good luck! x

Yep I loved it! I was expecting a terrible gross drink, and it was lovely to me hehe

Did get the sugar rush, dizziness and a bit sick, afterwards though. No gd here either

I think the drink has gotten better. When I had it the first time it was so so feral and disgusting. Then when I had it the next time it actually was okay, yeah a bit like flat lemonade for me.

GL with the results. Fingers crossed for no GD!!

first time i spewed and had to go again for the first test i think it was because it was cold next time i done it it was room temp not so bad still tasted yuck but sweet things didnt agree with me the whole time i was pg

I wouldn't say I loved it, but I didn't hate it either. It was fairly pleasant to drink really, although I did start feeling a bit nauseus not long after thanks to not having any other food in my tummy and not being able to eat or drink anything for an hour until the blood test. No GD for me either, thankfully.

I did mine today too

I didn't mind the after taste but my one was green and tasted like straight Lime Cordial with bubbles. I reckon I have a pretty good sweet tooth but that was too much for me. I felt so sick. PLus it gave me nasty heart brun.

My little Beanie on the other hand absolutely LOVED IT you should have seen my tummy jumping around

it was ok at first but towards the end of the bottle I had to force it down! i think it was mostly from trying to drink so much in such a short timeframe. By the time I got my bloods taken though I was feeling quite sick and dizzy...was fine after they took the blood though!
