2 Nappy bags

Hi everyone
Ok, bit of a boring question but

I bought a nice nappy bag the other day in Toys r us, but I recieved another nappy bag at my baby shower yesterday. Neither are the really expensive ones, but I didn't want to tell my friend that I bought one a couple of days before, as she was excited to show me it so I didnt have the heart to say


too be honest, I do prefer my toys r us one, as its slightly (very slightly) bigger, and better material. Its bright orange. So I would be inclined to use this one everyday.

My friends one is a black k mart one. Before buying mine, I was looking for a black one, so if I would have already recieved this I probably wouldn't of bought my toys r us one. Though now I have both, I would probably choose to keep the toys r us one, due to the material. Toys r us is a 5 hour drive away, so we won't be heading there anytime soon (probably not for a few months), though I do have the reciept.

Sooo... my question is, Will 2 nappy bags be useful? or a waste??? They are very similar in size. If I didn't use my friends one she would know as she lives in the same tiny town (theres only about 50 houses here).
Do they wear out fairly quickly?

Nappy bags don't necessarily wear out but it can be good to have two, sometimes something spills in it and you might want to give them a good clean out and need to let one dry.

Some people like having a plain black one as their partners etc don't necessarily like taking a nice bright colourful bag if they have bubs alone... :-)

Saying all this i only have ONE and it's a plain black one, i LOVE it but the handle broke on it MONTHS ago now and i still don't have it fixed, with #2 on the way i should seriously look at getting another one.

If you don't think you will use two maybe just tell your friend your partner surprised you with one you had seen and being so far away it's hard to take back, maybe she can come with you and pick out something else you need?

There is no right or wrong answer here and i prob haven't helped but i think it can't hurt to have a spare.

I have 4.

I choose which one to take depending on a lot of things. How long a trip I am going on, if I am babywearing or using the pram, if it matches my clothes ( I mean I wouldn't take an orange bag if I was dressed in pink... yuck!)

So keep it, black is a great coloured bag to have

I've got exxy ones (Kirrily plus 1) and cheap ones like my kmart backpack. They all get used the sameish

I think having two could be handy.

I have 3 nappy bags so far and am yet to use any of them they vary quite a bit in their size and their "niftiness" and I am planning on using 2 of them for when I go to hospital.

I have two, and I use them both : )

I brought a red one, and I also brought a black one. I figure the red one is nice and casual, and it goes well with my pram (its grey and red) and being messenger style DP is happy to use it as well. I also have a black one, which is a lot more fancy and looks more like a handbag.

I keep them both packed with the essentials, so they are pretty much ready to go. I change between them depending on my mood, what I am wearing, or where we are going!!

DP just shakes his head, he doesnt see the need for two : )

I use one for me and one for daycare. So I think 2 is really handy.

I have 5!!!! & yes I have used them all. One is completely worn out now, one I was just recently given......it's a homemade one with DS name on it & I love it.......currently also almost worn out. We have also used a backpack as DS can carry it. Then there was one I just "had" to have from America & it took til DS was 1 to find it on ebay LOL...love it & will love it for next DS too. Like shoes you can never have too many bags. I was the same with handbags, one for summer, one for winter, one for Weddings LOL. I love bags & the baby bag is now my "handbag" so yep I have lots!!!

I now use two - one for DD and one for DS - when you add up nappies, a change of clothes for every season (incase we get 'comments' from DF's Grandma about the kids being too hot or cold grrrr), bottles, snacks, food, a bowl, wipes it all takes up a lot of room!

Definately keep both - you never know when you'll have use for it

i have 2.....and 4 children, so i think you will get ample use out of your 2.

I use one for H- 3 months old.
One for the girls - spare clothes, socks, undies etc....

I bought two Storksak nappy bags on purpose! A funky gold one for everyday use and a black one for say 'evening' use. I love handbags and swap my handbag to suit what I'm wearing so I thought it would be good to have at least two nappy bags to suit the occassion and my outfit (as I won't be using handbags anymore, just a nappy bag).

I'm sure you'll get use out of both.

I have decided to keep both, I agree bright orange wouldnt really go with some colours! hehe, so a black would be very useful too
