    Slow weight gain

Im not really concerned about this but its playing on my mind a bit so just want some opinions. DS always had really good weight gain. He always gained quickly and been in the 97th percentile. Never really had to think about it. In the last month however he has only gained 0.02 of a kg. In that month he has grown about 2-3 cm and has started crawling everywhere and has also been off his food a little bit. He went through a stage where he would only eat fruit but we seem to be getting over that now that i have discovered that he loves pasta.

Should i be worried? I have a feeling he isn't having enough solids but he doesn't seem to want more than i am offering (unless its sweet and then he would eat all day). When i look at how much he eats compared to how much other babies his age eat i always think its less but i never really gave it a second thought until the slow in weight gain.

Hi Isabel. His growth is fine. At some stage they do slow down in their weight gain or otherwise we would all have baby huey's LOL. Plus he's on the go now and burning up more calories and also he's too excited to eat sort of thing kwim? There is just so much for them to explore and eating can sometimes come second to everything else. he still has had some excellent growth in length for that month though and you may find that he makes up for it this month too. If he is otherwise fine, and is well then I wouldn't be worrying about it too much.
