DP's boss and his wife want to kindly buy us a gift for the birth of DS. We got talking and she asked if we had a bouncer, as we dont have one they have offered to buy us one, we just need to let them know which one we would like.
The problem I guess is that the bouncer I have my sights on is the Baby Bjorn Balance which is about $199. I think that is far to much to expect someone to pay as a gift, but I also dont want to be stuck with a bouncer I dont like.
I have looked at other bouncers but most of them are to cutesy, and also only go up to 9kg. Where as the balance is plain colours, simple and goes up to about 13kg. Velco has a bouncer which is similar, but a lot cheaper.. but I have heard bad reviews about them bending and not holding the weight.
I am more than happy to pay the difference, but I am not sure how to bring it up in conversation, and I would also have to buy it online as we cant get it locally. I think asking for a voucher would also be rude..
What would you do? Are there any others on the market that maybe I have considered?
