using the same name as cousin

is it wrong to call your baby the same name as your husbands cousin. we prob. see them once every 2 years or so?

I wanted to if DS was a girl to use a name but DH said no as its his cousins name! I have NEVER met this cousin and couldnt see why it was an issue.

Just to be clear, its the cousins name and not their childs name??

I don't see a problem with it if its the actual cousins name but if they named their child Jed and you also wanted to use Jed then I don't think its a great idea IYKWIM.

we called our dd3 the same name as my 1st cousin - we see her probably 3 or 4 times a year. I think her and my aunt are flattered that i loved the name too.
