My sister has told me that her daughter (my little neice who is just 14 months old) does up to 10 poo's a day! is this normal? It doesn't sound normal to me.. they are full on poo's not just little ones.
is there something that she could be allergic to that could be causing her to poo so much or is it just me that thinks this is not normal??
My 16 mth old, eats HEAPS of fruit a day, 4-5 pieces a day, he loves his fruit, doesnt drink juice only water and will still only poo between once to twice a day, 3 at the most but 1-2 is the normal amount for him. 10 is heaps.
i'm pretty sure she doesn't eat alot of fruit and I have only seen her drink water or milk.
My ds eats alot of fruit and he poo's once a day every day.
What should I say to my sister?? I don't want it to sound like I am critising her but i also want her to know that I don't think its normal and she should see someone about it?
I'm pretty sure she gets fed the same thing ALL THE TIME, which really annoys me, but i'm not in a place to say anything. could that have something to do with it?
When we went onto just cows milk, my LO's poos went crazy- 6-7 a day and always sloppy and huge and awful. Turns out his little body just didn't like that much dairy. As soon as we went to lactose free milk, it went back to 2-3 poos a day, much better consistency. So maybe your niece has a similar issue?
As for how to bring it up, hm, that's harder! I guess I would go in with the sympathy angle-
"gee, you must get so fed up with changing that many pooey nappies a day..." etc.
