Sounds perfectly normal to me. Wait till you have two at either end of the room - they sorta trash till they meet in the middle.. lol
My DD is almost 14 months and ive always just let her explore her surrounds and 'get into' everything as she enjoys rooting through the cupboards and finding out what stuffs about for herself, but now, as she is growing and understand everything alot more, im starting to wonder if she is now just tearing the house apart for fun and it literally takes her a few seconds to cause a days worth of chaos!!!
Im wondering if this is still just normal child exploration etc or is she just taking advantage of the fact that ive always let her do this and is now taking it to the next level and just trashing the place!!
I thought she could be bored, we go out ALOT as she enjoys being out and about but i need some time at home to do things her and even if i try to get her into an activity ( i know she is too young to have any sort of attention span) she just chaoses!!!
Normal or Terror??? thanks

Yeah normalJazz loves to trash the place. She has free range of pretty much everything except dangerous cupboards and the draws which are all locked, but other than that she just does her search and destroy act! LOL! No point in stopping her really, since she's not actually ruining things, she's jsut pulling everything out and playing with it all and then moving on.
Oh God, mine destroys everything she can get her hands on... I blame it on her being too smart for her own good and needing the extra stimulation. It's frustrating, and messy (especially when she decides to trash the contents of the fridge! I must have cleaned up four smashed eggs yesterday!), but for the most part I just let her go at it because it's not like she's being malicious about it... just exploring, trying to do things for herself, mimicking what she sees DH and I doing every day (eg climbing on the kitchen bench and flicking the kettle on to make 'Emmy cuppa caw-fee? Me lub a caw-fee')... sure, she has her moments when we say 'no' and she glares at us and proceeds to commit mischief, but again, I don't think she really means to be such a monster, it's *that age* and pushing boundaries is part and parcel, or so I'm told...
Yep, I vote for normal too. It really is astonishing how quickly they can create astonishing mess, isn't it? I think its all just curiosity.
The other day DS got suspiciously quiet, which is always a concern, and I found him stuffing all his socks down the toilet (one of us accidently left the door open). He thought watching mummy fish them out with tongs was pretty funny and, after a while, so did I!
Yep, normal!! In fact I'd forgotten about it until you mentioned it lol. Oskar used to pull EVERYTHING out of my plastics cupboard and the bottom shelf of the pantry. Then there were ALL the toys *sighs* lol. Heaps better now though. Only pulls food out of the pantry these days haha mummy I want this.... seriously they grow out of it![]()
