Growth Scan - Need some Advice - Really Worried

So I had a scan at 20 weeks and my baby girl was measuring 8 days behind, the scheduled me for a scan at 32 weeks so they could check on how she was doing. They were not too concerned at the 20 week scan as they said that she may be just genitically small (as me and my sister were both little babies)

However I had my 32 week growth scan last Thursday and baby was measuring small again. The lady said that she was on the lower end of the chart, and she weighed about 1.4kg (3.08 Pounds) but didnt give me much info and said that I would need to speak to my doctor

I saw my OB today and he has told me that she is measuring small and is in the 10th Percentile. She also has a level 8 of Fluid.

I have had to have a CTG (Monitors her heartbeat to see how happy she is in there) done today and she seems to be ok. I have to have these done twice a week.

I also have another ultrasound with a specialist on Monday.

I am so worried - anyone else measuring small? Or in the 10th percentile?

Any Info good or bad would help

My DD1 started falling behind in her growth at about 16 weeks, at my 20 week scan she was 2 weeks behindand my fluid was a little low, we had frequent ultrasounds and CTG's, this went on until she was delievered at 38+2 weeks (for other reasons) and she was 2987grams, so on the smaller side but not extremely small like they predicted.

My DD2 so far has measured 2 days behind since 20 weeks, I am keen to see how much she weighs when she is born!

Do not worry yourself to much about it, ultrasounds get more inaccurate as your pregnancy progresses, I am sure your baby is doing just fine.

Oh, I thought I would add, I found this chart the other day and thought it was interesting.

    The Inaccuracy of Ultrasound:

    First trimester: 7 days
    14 - 20 weeks: 10 days
    21 - 30 weeks: 14 days
    31 - 42 weeks: 21 days

don't worry too much trust your midwife and specialist. I have had 3 small for dates babies. I never measured bigger than 30 weeks for the last 3 pregnancies.

My DD now 8 was 2.4 kg at 40+3 weeks
DS now 4 was 2.2kg at 38 weeks
DS now 2 was 2.4 kg at 38 weeks.

They were all below the 3% at birth as well.

I also had poor fluid levels but down to 4 at one stage. Plus I had poor blood flow in the cord along with many other things I could list. I had 13 scans and numerous CTG's and my kids are all fine now you wouldn't even tell they were so small. I was also diagnosed with IUGR with all of them as well.

just remember that ultrasounds can be up to 1lb out with size.

To me they dont sound to worried so just go with them at this stage. if you have any doubts at all make sure you speak to them, make them give you as much info as you want to help you feel more comfy for the rest of your preg.

I was measuring a few weeks behind in the third tri. In fact, from 28 weeks to 34 weeks, I apparently was measuring 28 weeks the entire time (implying that bub wasn't growing!) As you can imagine I was very worried but at 34 weeks I had a different midwife who told me it was nothing to worry about and it could simply mean bub was in a position that made measurment inaccurate. She took his "measurements" and said he was a couple of weeks behind but was growing fine. He was born at 38 weeks weighing 2854g, so yeah on the smallish size, but then again I was smaller than that at birth so it could just be genetic (although DP was a boof at birth so who knows!)

All the best and you may be suprised at your bub's size when she's born
