Could this be his teeth distressing him???

Josh used to be a really great sleeper...but for the last couple of weeks he has been crying out alot....some nights its every hour or two...other nights its every half hour or so. But when I go in to check on him and settle him back to sleep, I find he is still asleep, dummy is in and blankets are where they should be!! A couple of friends told me its because his teeth are giving him nightmares and it will pass when his teeth cut thru. Does that seem right??? Is there anything I can do for him....even tho he's still asleep he sounds so distressed its awful the only suggestion I got from friends was to give him panadol or nurofen each night before bed until his teeth come in sorry but Im not into medicating my kid "just incase" lol

Oh I should add, Im only assuming he is teething....his gums just have a slight lump I can feel but cant see anything....but for the last 2 months he's been really drooly, chomping on everything and really red cheeks.

Could he be getting a cold? My DD cries out in her sleep when she is in pain, or getting sick.

As for teething, I have only medicated when they're visibly cutting the gum and causing her to scream and cry in pain and she can't sleep at all.

I would keep him close for a few nights if you're worried. Can you sleep in his room, or co-sleep?
That's what I do when DD is unsettled.
