Tell them to use Infants Friend![]()
Oh dear. Just had to share. My dh seems to think, now that we have two kids, he is some kind of baby whispering child guru. A mate of ours has a ff newborn, who is constipated. Dh decided to impart some wise advice...
he told them to water down bub's formula
I've never used used formula, but even I know that's not right...
So, a public service announcement- do not take parenting advice from my dh!!

Crack up!
You know, there are a lot of people on here that I've seen post that they water down their baby's formula, because their GP or paed told them to.
I've not done it myself, because it specifically says not to on the formula tins and I just follow the rules![]()
A perfect opportunity for me to us this new emoticon. Thanks for the announcement LR.

My CHN told me to do this if DSs are constipated (eg: with both babies). I never did it 'cause they never got constipated.
His advice is given by health care professionals too...... I wouldn't do it.
Ahh bless them... my DH tends to be a bit like this with his brother who has just had his first.
FWIW I was told years ago when I was FFing - not to water down the formula - but to offer a bit of boiled water with a teaspoon of brown suger. I have no idea if this advice is still relevant, but my GP told me to try it - not that I'd trust his advice, he can be a bit dodgy sometimes
We use infant's friend too.
It's lovely that he is trying isn't it?
The brown sugar advice is still relevant too, works wonder! lol
LOL! Poor DH!
Yeah, got told about the brown sugar thing recently by the CHN too.
Oh good, I was a bit worried about posting advice from him.
I shouldn't be should I ...he's the Dr..but that's a whole other thing lol.
Lol - that's classic!!
Poor DH!
