Copying Dance Moves - 1yr old.

I am not sure WHEN kids start doing this kind of thing but last night DD was watching the wiggles (her favourite) and she copied 4 different moves from the 'rock a bye your bear' song.

Everybody clap - she clapped which she has been doing for a while
Everybody Sing - La La La La La - she got a wiggles keyboard for her 1st birthday which has a microphone and copies us singing La La La into it
Rock A Bye Your Bear - she linked her arms and rocked
Bear is now asleep - she put her finger to her lips to say shhhhh

Now i know they copy a lot and start doing things at this age but she did them along with the song, more than once? I think my gorgeous girl is very clever but when do they normally start this?

And please don't think she watches the wiggles all day every day, she gets TV from 7am-10am in the morn (not that she watches the whole time, she plays and makes a mess of my lounge )and thats it unless she's not well and she gets her wiggles DVD or Hi-5... lol

Jazz started copying moves and dancing 'on cue' (ie. when I said DANCE JAZZY! And start dacing with her) a fe wmonths ago, so it sounds like our DDs are right on time!
That said, all kids do things differently at different times.
Jazz was sitting and 'reading' (flipping through pages of a book) as soon as she could hold a book, and I think its because she see's us reading a lot. She also copies quite a lot too, i think she's going to be one of those kids that just needs to see something done and be able to do it. She tends not to work things out until she see's it done, and then theres no stopping her. I think that means she very visual. Probably the same for your DD

I think DD was about the same age but can't exactly remember. Now all we seem to do in this house is dance and sing! Everything gets made into a song and dance (in a good way) which is very amusing. Yay for your little girl!

Oh Leasha i think they are similar too, we have a box of her cardboard books in the lounge, she sits on her little couch and tries to flip the pages, she also talks mumbo jumbo to herself while she does it... i assume copying me reading to her, she has been doing this for ages too.
She sat from 5mths and didn't want to do anything else i was so glad when she figured out crawling, she has copied the other kids at MG walking behind things now and has figured on her own she can stand unaided and get herself down without falling, now for those 1st steps!

It was so cute watching her with the wiggles, she is going to see Dorothy in December, i hope she likes it.

Beth was copying ballet dancers on Tellytubbies before she could even walk and she was an early walker. She also started dancing when her Elmo said "Dance with Elmo" at about 11 months. It's so cute isn't it!
