    Hi everyone

I am so jealous of your meet up. I wish some of you lived on the Gold Coast. I hope you all had a good time.

It is definitely hard to meet people in a new city, and feel so jealous when i see groups of mums together. I have met a couple of people, i need to give it more time.

Ben's birthday in a couple of weeks and don't really have anyone to invite apart from one mum I have met and my mother in law. I suppose that is ok.

    Hope you are all well.

    Hello,
I'm sorry i couldnt make it last week i was so bummed but i didnt want to get you all sick, feeling a bit better this week, had a headache everyday though and we all still have coughs. Trying to rest as much as possible but a lil hard when i have so much to do, my sister gets married tomorrow :O its come so quick. Got my hair done then spray tan last night and tonight i gotta go get my nails done, never had them done before so im quite excited.

Back to the bubs....lol. Robyn, dont worry to much, its his first birthday, he wont even remember it, maybe you could ask you local council for a playgroup directory. I need to start looking into some here, charli needs friends her own age i feel bad cause lys had her cousins but charli has no1
This morning i caught alyssa hurting charli, i was not happy and yelled at her big time, charli didnt cry but still what she was doing was just mean, then 5 minutes later charli was telling alyssa off and she smacked her so alyssa smacked her back
    The fighting has already begun
Lys had her first transition day at school the other day, went well except the parents info session was held in the library and every 2nd parent had a pram so it was very squishy and charli didnt wanna keep still (cause i couldnt take the pram in...was just too hard) then to top it all off alyssa left her hat there so i gotta go in and get it, hopefully they still have it. Got her uniform list too It's soooo expensive, we are gonna be so poor and thats not even including her books or school fee's yet
Oh and Charli is starting to drink out of a straw cup which means in then next 2 months we'll prob get rid of the bottle and then the dummy by the time shes 18mths.

Well i better go, not long before charli wakes up then we have to go shopping for some undies for her....to go under her dress tomorrow

    Have a good weekend

    Hi Ladies

Kristie - it wasgreat to meet you too. Piper came home & told DH all about her little friends. I think she has a thing for Dylan! haha!

Kirra - What a spew you couldn'rt make it. Hope you feel beter soon. Have fun at your sisters wedding. It's such a long day! How cute with Alyssa starting school. I can't imagine what it will be like when Pip starts! We got confirmation of her 3 yr old kinder placement yesterday. Bloody fees! And uniforms! Although they are optional. Just lucky tht my sister sent her boys to the same one & kept a ouple of t-shirts & a hat for us so that's a start! That's good that Charli is drinking from a straw. That's what Lily uses for water & will use for her afternoon feed when I cut out the boob feed in the afternoon in a week or two.

What is with the tinies fighting! Piper & Lily do too! More so if Piper takes what Lily is playing with & vice versa! Critters!

Robyn - Hope you are well! It would be hard being in a new city, but at least with Ben it gives you a excuse to go out & about to meet new people. Speak to your MCHN about any groups. I take the girls to Playgroup & have met some friends there. While we have friends here, we were the first to have a baby so had no one in the same position as us so it was great to meet other people with kids. Although we won't go next year as Pip will be in kinda. I thought it would be nice to use kinder time as 'Mum & Lily' time so we can do something together, just the 2 of us! I may go back the yar after when she's a little older!

Lily started her swimming lessons on Tuesday. She was so sute. Very happy to be in the water until the submerging begAN! Not a fan! She didn't scream & carry on or anything but she just didn't like t! It didn't help that she swallowed half the pool! Fot the rest ofthe lesson she was very cuddly & shivery! Pooor Bubs. Lucky I've done this before or I would have been mush & taken her straight out of the pool! To bad for lttle her Mumma is a hard arse! hahaha! She'll get the hang of it. I remember Pip took to the submerging right away! She loves it! She was always the demonstrator baby! hahaha!

Piper had her first dress rehersal for dancing yesterday. She was so cute in her make up & costume! We'll have a rehersal at the theatre in a few weeks. Hope she goes ok on the stage with all the lights!

Ooohhhhh, our babies are all going to be 1 soon! Oh, were Shells girls first? Happy Belated Birthday Girls!

I Logan after that? I think Kylie said his birthday was on the 2nd? And if my memory serves me well(I could just look at everyones signatures, but lets test my old brain! hahah!), then Ethan on the 7th, Lily & Ben on the 9th & Charli on the 11th? How did I do? hahaha

Ok, better go back to Mumy duty. We were meant to go to the beach today but its a wash out. Damn weather!

    Ciao everyone

    Hi!

Robyn - Bugger you haven't met many people yet - I would suggest to join a local playgroup or even check up in belly belly if there's anyone having meet ups in your area!! It just takes a bit of time sometimes...xo

Kirra - How exciting your sister got married - checked out a few photos on facebook - you looked gorgeous!!
I go to the woodbine playgroup - it's been pretty good!! The kids enjoy themselves!
I hear you on the fighting...although it hasn't started too much with Ethan yet but Louis and Dylan do it all day long...they'll be playing and then crying, playing and then crying - drives me crazy! It's nice when Louis has kinder because they have a break from each other...I've started seperating them in different rooms now when they do it too much! Luckily they don't really hurt each much though...
Wow - how exciting for Alyssa to be starting school! Bugger at all the expenses though - I think the government have a thing now where they give you some money when the kids start school??? Might be worth looking into???
How cute charli drinking from a straw cup - Ethan can do it too now but I haven't bought him one yet...he's drinking out of the boys tupperware cups at the moment the cheeky little thing!!

Natasha - LOL at PIper and Dylan...very cute!! Yeah at Lily starting swimming - Ethan doesn't like submerging either...I only do it once or twice for the session...How exciting Piper is getting ready for her dance concert!! Louis wants to do classes next year!!!!

Ooh Happy Birthday to Logan!! I'm hopeless at remembering dates!!!!

What a busy time we've had!! We headed up to the IL's on Sunday and had a great time in their new pool!! The kids did so well swimming! They were so tired and feral though from not sleeping enough...
Halloween was great - the kids loved going trick or treating and got quite a few lollies - it was a bit quiet with it being the long weekend though...
Ethan has 2 more teeth so 6 in total now!! I didn't even notice until I had a look on Sunday...whoops!! He's getting so close to walking but still prefers crawling...He's starting to sing little songs now which is so super cute as well! He gives his big brothers kisses and hugs too which is nice!
As for me, I'm well, just super tired and have been feeling a bit of nausea again which seems weird...I have my scan on Friday so am very excited to find out the gender of bubs!!
I had an infected wisdom tooth last week which hurt sooo much - I had heaps of panadeine but bubs has been kicking around so hopefully all is well...
So, we've got Ethans 1st birthday on Saturday and I've done nothing yet to get ready!! Will probably head shopping tomorrow night without the kids to get his party decorations...I have all his presents and he got one early already - one of those chunky plastic climbing things and slides for outside - he loves it!!
Well, one more feed to go and he's weaned - will probably finish up in a couple more days...I hardly have any milk left anyway...I think I'm going to miss it though but he keeps accidentally biting me...OUCH!! Plus, I'll have to do it all again soon anyway! LOL!!!!!!

    Ok, chat later!

    Hi Girls,
Am an infrequent poster but still around in BrisVegas. Can't believe my little girl is turning one already, have no idea where the year has gone. We are combining her birthday party with a Christmas one so it has turned into a bit of an affair...( we have usually done a big Chrissie party every year - except for last year)..Love hearing how all the other bubs are progressing .. Miss W is a pretty wicked crawler but not walking yet (but can run in a walker) plenty of teeth with her 8th on its way through. Still fully BF'd and refuses formula, sleeps from 7pm til 5am with the occasional wake up around 2am for a feed. Overall a pretty easygoing bub.
Hope all the bubs are having great first birthdays...

    Hello Everyone

Thank you all for your kind welcome !

Romones Party was full on. I didnt realise how hard it would be. I didn't get to talk to all the guests other than to say hello and goodbye, but it was only 3 hours and I was trying to make sure everything went smoothly whilst looking after Romone.... not that I really got to look after him ( with so many grandparents around, I had to fight for a hug lol )

I hope everyone enjoys their childrens upcoming partys/birthdays. It has gone too quick. I just wish he could stay my little man forever....

Just a quick word before bed.... We have a full on day tomorrow in the City with my father in law and his wife, (More grandparents) Who didnt get to come to the party. A Belated birthday lunch for my little one. So off to bed before my hubby falls asleep...

    Take care x

    Hi everyone

Welcome Mum2Ramone. I don't get on very often, i usually read the updates on FB.

Congrats Kristie on another boy. Love the name. Would you have liked a girl, even though either way is good news. You are so lucky to have a big family. I hope we are able to go for round 2!

We are back on the TTC roller coaster again and have had a visit to the fertility naturopath, who has us on a concoction of herbs and supplements.

Poor Lily with her molars. I didn't know they got them this young. They probably make the first two teeth easy going.

Gotta go to shops now. Wow its hot - 35 today.

    Hi!

mum2romone - Sounds like you had a successful party!!! Hope you had a nice day in the city as well!

Robyn - We're happy to be having another boy - I think we thought it would be that way anyway!! Will fit in really well to the family...all my boys have such different personalities that it will be interesting to see how this baby is!!
Good luck ttc - I hope it happens quickly for you!

As for us, we had a great weekend down at Phillip island exept that the boys got a cold (now on the mend) and now I've got it as well! Was nice to get away though!
Ethan is a little character at the moment - he can walk quite a bit but is just lazy and prefers to crawl still - LOL! He's coming out with some cute stuff and has started on tantrums already (probably learnt from his big brothers) If he's not allowed to have something he lays down the floor and kicks around...it's quite funny actually...He stands up for himself with his brothers though which is good - I saw him have a tug of war with Dylan over a toy the other day and he won!!! Going to have to grow up tough in this family - LOL!!

Ok...better go...trying to limit time on the computer and failing dismally...LOL! Chat later!

    Question

Kristee - as you have 3 boys you might be able to relate to this, or not?

Did you boys go through a hitting phase when they were little. Ben seems to want to smack everyone, especially at play group. Although yesterday therre was a 14mth old who was smacking him. And he also was trying to get up on a seat where a little girl was sitting and bit her on the arm - her slightly tense mum went nuts at me.

I am not sure if this is normal or not. I seem to spend the whole time chasing him making sure he behaves, or if not chasing him I am saying 'no' all the time.

Hopefully it is just a phase??

Robyn - YES! And not even just boys but girls as well go through that stage...some longer than others and more intense than others...
My boys haven't bitten or been too violent but definitely smacking - and Ethan does it a bit at the moment...best thing to do is to encourage them to be gentle - I stroke his face and his hair and arms and say gentle and encourage lots of cuddles and kisses. Also be really consistent with it - no hitting, be gentle or whatever you decide to say...stay calm but firm when you do it as well as you don't want him to get such a reaction from you that it makes it fun for him to be told off iykwim??

    Hope that helps a bit...xo

Oh and also pay more attention to the person that's been hurt than him...if a big fuss is made at him for being naughty it's more enticing...pay all the attention to the person he's hurt and then remove him and tell him off...

    Hi everyone

I was supposed to checking on orders but hd a notification so here I am!

We had LIly's party on the weekend! I'm so buggered! Lily had a lot of fun. SDhe was such a good girl, she even mnaged an afternon nap! So opposite to her big sissy! I must say I'm so glad it's over though after having had Pipers birthday last month. But now it will be DH's 30th next month. Ugh!

Lily is doing very well. Almost walking on her own! She is sooooooooo cheeky! And absolutely hilarious! She is saying a lot more now - nigh nighs, zus(for our dog Zeus), Psssss(for Puss), Pi, Whats thee? - how Shakesperean of her! A few other words here & there, her favoourite stil being 'MMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAA!' hahaha! She is also enjoying swimming a lot more. Poor bugger has almost cut her first molars. The painful buggers. I can feel the ridges right under her puffy gums!

Mum2Ramone - yeah, kids parties are harder I reckon. Espcially in my case where your in-laws just sit there & don't help or your sister-in-law interferes & brings out the fruit platter when you 're just taking the hot food out! Needless to say, I had words & for once DH stuck up for me! I couldn't believe it! Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest! hahaha!

Robyn - the hitting sure isn't restricted to boys! Neither is biting or scratching just a girl thing! ha! Lily smacked Piper yesterday(the first I'd seen her do it) & she's biten me on the shoulder a couple of times but with my girls the biting seems to happen when they are teething. I pretty much do the same as Kristie. It's hard. I've always had to be constantly on the look out since I've had Pipr as she is a very hands on kind of kid. She loves giving cuddles & kisses - even when the other kid is fighting to get free! Some of the Mums at Playgroup make underhanded comments about her & it really ****es me off. One Mum in particular, if a kid cries & Piper is within a 5 metre radius she blames her. I usually hold my tongue(which takes a lot for me, trust me!) but the last time she made a smart-arsed comment I told her calmly, but firmly, to back off. So be prepared for that kind of crap Robyn!

Good luck TTC. I'm still TTCDHTC - Trying To Convince DH To Conceive! hahaha!

Kristie - Hope evryone gets over their colds soon! I think it's great that you're having another boy(I know I wouldn't complain if I ended up with 4 girls!). Hey, at least it saves on clothes! haha!

Ok, back to work. I'm pretty wrapt that I'm getting quite busy! I did some rough figures the other day & I'm just about breaking even at the moment! I'm hoping that Christmas will push me into profit! It would be nice if it would really ake off & I didn't have to go back to work. Uuggghhhhhh, 8 weeks to go. I can feel the bile rising in my throat! haha!

    Ok

    Ciao ladies

Natasha - it is hard for me to keep my mouth shut too - especially when they are just being babies. I really wanted to tell this neurotic mother yesterday to 'suck it up' amongst other things.

Guess I will have to learn how to deal with these people.

When one of them hits Ben I certainly don't react like that. I always assumed it was part of them playing and learning how to be with each other. But am always keeping an eye on him to make sure noone gets hurt.

I don't hit him just trying to teach him as Kristee said.

    Fun and Games.

    Hi Guys,

sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, I suppose I have been lazy and have been busy doing other things. WOW most of out bubbas are 1 now, where has the time gone. We had a party on the 7th with the family and Logan was sick all day with a high temp. I thought it was due to his 12 month needles but in the end it wasn't. It took 48 hours for the fever to break. We had a lovely train cake which it took DH and I a couple of hours to decorate the night before and we didn't even argue which was great.

Logan is still happy to roll all around the place, no crawling yet. But on the flip side his speech is coming along really well. He says: there, ta, drink, ball, cat, car, balloon (ahboo), bath, mum, dad, poo (lol), The communication is really starting to happen which is awesome. He has put on a kg and is now 10.3kg. His fontanelle has also completely closed which is apparently early, but his head is still growing normally.

Robyn - We are also TTC for number 2. This is my 3rd month and I will be able to let you know by the end of next week. Fingers crossed.

Kristie - congrats on having another boy. I really like the name Jayden How did Ethan take to being weaned? Logan has had no boob for 2 days now. The only annoying thing is that when he wakes up screaming for food at 6am I have to get up and organise weetbix. It is the only thing that will settle him down!!

Mum2romone - welcome our sons share the same bday

Natasha - great to hear your business is doing so well. Logan still only has 7 teeth, but I think i can see where the molars are putting pressure up the top.

Only 5 and half weeks til xmas!! AAAAAHHHHHHH

123 ...
