Feeling like a bad mummy :(

Last night Ds didnt sleep very well...so I put it down to DH loosing his teething necklace

but he was crying like he was in pain

Anyway this morning I changed his nappy and noticed his penis was quite swollen. I thought i would leave it and see how he goes.

He has been doing wees fine and hasnt complained all day but it was still swollen...so I took him to the dr. He has an infection

And the worse part is last night i just let him play in the bath and didnt wash him with soap all over cause i cant bend over.

I hope he didnt get it because i didnt wash him properly

So he is now on antibiotics...I hope it gets beter before I have bubs, my poor little monkey.

You know I doubt very much that the infection was caused by that!
You know you're not a bad mummy - you took him to the docs and got it fixed!

Hope he's all better soon

You took him to the doctor, and he is now having medicine to feel better.. you are definately NOT a bad mummy - you are a fantastic mummy!

I'm sure the antibiotics will kick in and he'll be feeling better well before your bubby joins the world! Good luck with everything! Looking forward to hearing your BA

Just to let you know you really aren't a bad mum... DS is like that alot! I have to be so careful. No soaps at all. Careful which MCN's I use, I used to use sposies while he was having probs, but now they cause probs too. MCN's have to be washed in bi carb, nothing else!
Poor baby can't even have bubbles in the bath! I can't wash my hair if he's in the shower with me.
Its so hard to keep track of it all, specially with 2 feral girls trying to wash hair etc!
He's red & swollen again today, I'm not real sure why, but I hope it clears soon!

All kids get infections

They are kids! Its what they do best, lol

Thanks ladies, i am a tad emotional so thats not helping...but you know how it is wehn your kids are sick or a hurting

Boomba, a bad mummy wouldn't feel guilt and feel like a bad mummy! You took him to the dr and got ab's and you cuddle him lots so you aren't a bad mummy at all!
