My 8 month old daughter hasn't had a movement in three days! Usually she's a once-a-day baby (at least), and I'm a bit worried. I know newborns can often be irregular, but she isn't a newborn any longer. We've done gentle abdominal massage, prunes and pears, water, a poo dance (my husband's idea, in the manner of dancing for rain - it works!)... but nothing. Does the old brown sugar and water trick work on older babies? Any advice?
Hun, you are right that this is not usual at that age. I would try lots of sultanas and pear juice, and if you have no luck with that in 24 hours or so you might need to get some coloxyl. I think that might be script only, I'm not sure.
