C/S Scar - turning red again?

    Hi,

I'm a bit concerned because my C/S scar looks like it's turning red again, whereas for probably 18 months or so it's just been a faint, thin, white line, no keloid or anything. I'm really hoping for a VBAC, but a little paranoid about the whole C/S rupture thing, which I know isn't all that common, but it does happen. Is it normal for C/S scars to change like this or is it a bad sign?

    TIA

You're a bit further along than me but mine is still the same as it was. Sorry I can't be more help.
Oh and I hear you on the VBAC 'do I, don't I?' dilemma.

Mine didn't change in the entire 42 weeks I was pregnant, I would go get it checked....

Hopefully it is nothing to worry about but I would definitely get it checked. Mine didn't change during my pregnancy.

Mine didn't really change until late in pregnancy when it started feeling like it was stretching a bit (which it was by that stage as I was huge). However, what is happening on the outside isn't necessarily reflecting what is happening on the inside.

There's really no way of being able to predict if you will rupture or not until you do and there isn't anything you can really do to prevent it - sorry that probably doesn't help much
