Coughs and Colds in Babies

DD2 (17 weeks) has got a slight cough and cold, nothing major, but it breaks my heart, what can I do to make her more comfortable?
I have been using vaporiser...anything else?

Unfortunately now. Keeping using the steam, it will eventually work. It's heartbreaking, DD2 had a cold at 2 weeks of age.

Hi Queen,
It is heartbreaking to see them sick to both of you. my little girl had the same at 14 weeks. Fess nasal drops is excellent to clear the nose (non-medicated). It will also help the cough since the cough is from mucus dripping doen the back of their throut while sleeping. Try putting Vicks vaporub/eukybear rub/eucalyptus oil on a bib and attach to cot ( don't apply directly to baby). This helps a lot. Also, spray heaps of Fess - a couple of sprays every 1-2 minutes until dripping and give bub tummy time. clears mucus and helps them breathe a lot better. My DD just sneezes it all out (mucus and all), but you can use the nasal aspirator that comes with the Fess. HTH.
