Unfortunately there is no way of knowing how far off labour is after your baby has engaged. However the lower your baby is the more chance he/she has of stimulating that cervix to dilate.

How soon did I go into labour? 5 weeks after - with both kids I take it that's not what you want to hear though Contact an acupuncturist or an osteopath, or a chiro, and see who can help you - not being able to walk isn't really ok

My bubs seems to be engaged as well and I have big troubles walking. It happened around Sunday and now I'm just 'wobbling' around I have this big pressure at the front of my pubic bone...do you have a similar feeling?

    Cheers,

I'm currently 38 weeks and have similar pressure in my pubic area & aching legs, hoping it's a sign that things are moving!

I've been walking in the hopes that if he is engaged, the pressure of being upright will hurry it all along.
