Panvax or Panvax Junior?

Has anyone considered or went ahead with the swine flu vaccine which was approved for children (6 months to 3 years) on Dec 3rd?

Also would it be safer to request Panvax Junior as its a one use vial.

in relation to having it done, no havent had it done yet..
i am off on maternity leave so unsure if we have got panvax juniour in at work yet or not.

but as for it being "safer" as it in in a one use vial, that really isnt the case, as the multi dose vials are just as safe, as long as the person immunising/ vaccinating is using correct procedure and uses a new syringe each time.

from what i understand though, the panvax juniour is in single dose vials as its such a small dose and it was cheaper than having to throw out half a vial as it was not used within 24 hours of first dose given if that makes sense..
panvax can also be purchased privately with a script in single dose vials aswell its just not needed though as one vial only holds 10 doses of the vaccine for adult usage ands it was predicted that you would be able to use this within 24 hours and minimise wastage..

We just got the adult vaccinations (going on vacation next month).

We asked the GP if he gave any baby vaccinations but he said not really. He also did not recommend it yet as its too new and all side effects where not known yet for babies.

Also seasonal flu vaccinations babies are not common so he did not recommend the H5N1 vaccination for babies at this moment in time.

i agree with that...

like i mentioned i dont think we are even considering getting it in as we dont see the need.
