Red face Am I setting myself up to rupture next time?

Ok so it is day 13 post CS and I have been lifting DD1 for quiet some time.

DD likes to come into our bed at about 6am and snuggle so this morning DH was already up when she was ready to move from her cot to our bed so I picked her up out of her cot (which is still on the high newborn setting) and something in my belly went 'twang' it felt like it was behind my scar, that has healed very well and causes no real pain and it only lasted a split second, but it has got me thinking, as my over active mind does, the outside of my scar looks fantastic, healed perfect but what if I have popped a stich or two inside that I cannot see? what if it makes me rupture next time?

I will try and be more careful from now on, it is hard when DH has a bad back and I have had a CS, but I will try but in the meantime please help me put this horrible thought out of my mind because now my brain is telling me I can't have any more babies and I want to cry .

Hun, I'm no expert but I'm sure most mother's who have toddlers and a newborn will have picked up their toddler shortly after having a c-section. As much as it is very important that you take it as easy as possible, I'm also certain that for most people life goes on and that means attending to their older kids.

If you are at all worried call your docs but by the sounds of it you just need to try as best as possible to take it easy. I'm sure it will be all ok.

OH I remember the 'tang' after W and look I had 2 more.
Just be gentle on yourself please hon...as you said it looks good on the outside, doesnt mean your fully 'healed' internally. I still have a pull on the right side after all my c/s...its blasted annoying

    Oh hun
I remember the 'twang' too.. .I thought (still think) I popped a stitch. I did overdo it, ended up in quite a bit of pain BUT went on to have a VBAC. So obviously didn't do any major lasting damage.
take it easy, be gentle to yourself

I would have thought that the stitches would have all dissolved now being nearly 2 weeks on, don't they only take like a week or something to dissolve? (obviously I'm no doc so I don't have a clue!)

I'm sure you would be fine babe. I picked Aricyn up really early after my second one and it freakin hurt like hell, but I went on to have a natural birth just fine only 16 months later

I had that "twang" after DS2 then went on to have a VBA2C! Just try to be careful..... although I can't really talk! I was picking up my 2 year old and new born when I got home from hospital!
