We've been seeing a fertility doctor as my wifes periods aren't regular.
She's had her tubes checked they appear ok, so started on one dose of porvera, which brought on a period then clomid.
At 21 days she took a blood test, and it indicated no egg was released... a couple more weeks past and we were advised to take provera again then a double dose of clomid. No period came after the provera, so she didn't take the clomid and we waited a couple of weeks then started pregnancy tested.. they were indictaing a faint line, which supposedly meant pregnant. We got a digital test which also confirmed it.
We had a referal for a blood test which she did on Thursday.
The fertility doctor is on holidays at the moment so no sure when he'll be back to get the results.... we were already very happy.... until that same day, a spot of red blood, then brown for the next couple of days....
We went to the local doctor who was able to look up the results as we couldn't wait...hcg level of 79 which was good, but he got us to do another blood test which we found out the results for that afternoon.... The HCG had dropped to 49, that day she also had a lot more bleeding.
So looks like we lost it.... it might have only been a few weeks into it.
The doctor said to come in for an ultrasound on Monday, but since she's still bleeding (today is Sunday) I don't know if they would do an ultrasound?
Since she is bleeding, is that the same as a period? therefore we should be able to take clomid again and get back into it? I'm not expecting a medical answer here, ofcourse we'll be consulting with the doctor, just wanted to know if anyone else has been in this situation, and what happened with them.
Is it likly that she is getting flushed out already and we can TTC again in 21 days+. After a m/c does it take time for things to heal inside before it can try again? Since its was kinda early, I'm hoping it doesn't need to do as much "healing"?
Any thoughts?
We're both pretty down at the moment.... we read so much on the internet, so much conflicting information.... its hard to know what to go off...
Hopefully the fertility doctor is back to work next week..
We just don't know if its worth doing this ultrasound yet (since we have to get out of work for a few hours), there is no one else to ask before 8am tomorow morning...
Thanks
Sorry for no replies here...not sure why? Did you have the ultrasound?
I'm new, so don't know if I can help much. Also, I'm sorry about the miscarriage - it is very sad for you both.
I've read conflicting information about how long to wait - some say 3 months afterwards but when I've spoken to three close friends who have miscarried, none waited and all fell pregnant within the next two months (they have no fertility problems though) so I guess your doc will tell you and your wife will also know how she is feeling.
