Red face Have I damaged something down there? TMI I'm sure!

So yes, embarrassing but I'm a tad worried.

Sometimes when I stand up I feel this pressure down there. But when I investigated just before, it was like there was a hard thing pressing into my vagina - but from my bum region!?? As far as I know I have nothing stuck up my arse..

So is this normal? I did have a fairly long pushing stage (45 minutes) and got a HUGE hemorrhoid for my efforts, which has basically just gone down now into a normal sorta size but its not bothering me cos its like an outside one IYKWIM?. Could it be another one inside my bum?

Sorry for the TMI but just wanting to know if I have to make a docs appointment or not to get it checked out. Cos I'd rather NOT... lol

Olive -yah I'm too afraid to actually use the equipment yet.. haha

Nae - I didn't have any cuts or anything - just a little tear that didn't need stitching to my peri - would it be the same thing?

Do your pelvic floor excercises! It's all still recovering down there and won't feel normal till at least 6 weeks. I used to feel like mine had caved in but it's in stellar condition now

Mine didn't feel normal for weeks afterwards....

I pushed for 1hr 45mins VERY LONG (she was posterior!) and I'm sure I strained a fair bit down that region

It will feel a bit odd for a bit..... get your GP at your 6wk check up to check it all over which they do anyway and that will give you some reassurance.....

I'd say you are still swollen and you inners still need time to go back into place IYKWIM... my kids fell out of me and I had the same thing.

It does take a couple of months to start to feel normal I rekon - so hang in there, and keep doing those pelvic floor exercises!
I used to get a "tired" vjayjay, where it felt like it was all going to fall out lol - my MW said that it was really important for its healing to lie down to rest, that sitting down just didn't cut it! So make sure its "resting" too!

The "hard thing" you are feeling could be a poo in your rectum. Next time you use your bowels check again and see if it still there.

This is sounding a little like a rectocele so make sure you check with your doctor. I second the comments on pelvic floor exercises!

Prolapses are much more common than we think for women who have had vaginal births and there are so rarely talked about.

could be an internal prolapse, if it persist, i'd go and get it checked. A GF had very similar, but hers was anterior, her bladder was prolapsing into her uterus. She needed to go the physio for some extra pelvic floor exercises but fixed itself over time. i agree with the others, make sure you're doing your pelvic floor exercises.

bwahahahahaha!!!!!! ROFL!!!!!! Ahhhh sorry that struck my funny bone

I'm pretty sure I didn't need to go at the time I felt it, but will make sure I take notice next time.. ROFL

Pelvic floor exercises - I'm trying, but there doesn't seem to be much strength down there any more!!! Hardly feels like I'm doing anything!

Mine took aaaaages to get back to normal again. It felt like the back wall of my vagina was pushing forward... difficult to explain. It did go back though. Like PPs have said, things are probably still a bit swollen. You'll be back in business "using the equipment" (PMSL, you joker) before you know it

Sneaky sparkle i was the same...felt like everything was just going to fall out every time I moved! Lol. I don't think it will ever be quite the same down there again, but it is so much better almost 6 months down the track.
I pushed for about 3 hours....it took me ages to recover!

Arimeh have you had your 6 week post natal check up yet? I'd just tell them about it then if it is still like that...they'll be able to tell you what it may be, and maybe do an internal just to double check if you are really worried about it...I know I got a pap smear when I had my 6 week check up (I think it hurt almost as much as giving birth! Lol) so they might be able to check things for you then.
