Hi there,
My 2 year old DD is badly teething at the moment. I have given her Calpol and have a frozen teething ring. Just wondered if anyone had any tips on anything I can do to make her more comfortable. She is very sorry for herself at the mo and I wish I could do more to help.
Thanks for any advice.

My DD2 is teething at the moment. I was so desperate for something that didn't involve medication because we were at the point where she wouldn't sleep unless I gave her panadol. So I went and bought an amber teething necklace. I didn't think it would work. Thought it was a bit airy fairy but did a little bit of research and found that it has actually got natural medicinal properties. It's not about the "energy" from the beads The night after I put it on her we had the first good night's sleep we'd had in two weeks. I recently took it off because her teeth had come through. She was fine without it for a month but then started waking and crying at night again and I could see her top teeth coming. I popped her necklace back on and the next night she slept well again. Some people say they haven't worked for them but the majority of people I have spoken to say that they have worked wonders for their kids. Maybe it's worth a try? My 2 year old is getting her second year molars and she's been ok with a bit of bonjela. I give her crushed ice to suck on too during the day which she loves.....hope that helps hun. I'm feeling your pain and feeling for her pain. It's so awful to see them like that isn't it? Sending you both big hugs xx Nik
I feel you pain, my DS is teething at the moment too. Like you I try to avoid giving him panadol/nurofen unless it is really bad. I've found that the Brauer teething drops work really well. They're homeopathic so you don't have to worry about giving them to them and they really seem to take the edge off, even when it is really bad.
Its so awful seeing them so upset. I hope your little one is feeling better soon. I was giving my daughter panadol every four hours and hated doing that plus she was still so upset that i decided to try a teething necklace. I was skeptical, but it was the best buy ever!! She has now got two teeth and has been great with her teething since i put the necklace on her.
We have had it on her for about 3 months now, and there have been a couple of times when we have forgotten to pop it back on her after a swim or something, and we have noticed her upset and in pain again, esp at night. Put that back on, and she is great again! I swear by it. Google whiskers on kittens. You can buy them there and there is information there too on how they work (if you are like me you will want some info too) BUt definitely worth the buy!
