    Sore back after D&C

I had a D&C at 1.30pm yesterday. This morning I have woken up with a sore back & wondered if it's a concern. It's not a cramping sort of sore & my bleeding is very minimal, it's like a muscle ache. Could this be just from being in an awkward position (I imagine it would be) during the surgery? I would prefer not to have to go back to see any more doctors if I can avoid it, but if it's a worry I'll be there in a flash.

I'm very sorry for your loss Sarah .
I was a bit sore after my D&C. As long as it isn't severe pain or your bleeding isn't bad I would think it is an after effect from the procedure. A specialist once told me that you can never tell how your body will react after a procedure no matter how minor or major it was. It may depend on the skills of the surgeon, the anaestetics used or just your body on the day. Resting is the best thing right now.
    Xx

i would say it is a normal thing, after the many D&C's i have had for various reasons, i have had sore shuolder, sore hip, sore knees, etc
they say it can also be from the position they get you into and sometimes it causes cramps and takes 2-3 days to settle,
rest up and take it easy, some panadol and chocolate will help.

soo sorry you had to go through that.
will be thinking of you as you heal
