I thought I'd put this out there, not only so I can get an answer but for future reference for others wondering the same thing.

I was wondering how much, or if at all, the weather (i.e. hot or cold) affects bbt and charting. Although we are not currently actively TTC and are using protection, my doctor thought it would be a good idea to continue charting so I can learn more about my cycle, as I only came off the pill in september, and after 3 m/c this year my cycle has been pretty out of wack.

So I guess I am just confused as to whether I've O'ed or if it's just the shocker heat melbourne had last night. I did have cramps and then what felt like o pains on my right side yesterday. Yesterday was also cd 14, and although that's not when everyone o's, my last few charts have had o at around cd 12-14. Today my temp is way up. I don't think I've ever had such a clear o sign, if that's what it was. It was pretty hot last night, BUT the fan was on pointed directly at us all last night, I slept nudie, and it was a very restless night, which all add up to a lower temp, right? There have been other hot nights when my temp hasn't been that high...it just seems a bit of a coincidence that I get a nice high temp when its very possible I O'ed. Like I said, definitely not trying to get utd at this stage,a just trying to understand my cycles a bit more so when we do start TTC again, I'll have a better understanding of when af is due etc.

Hrm sorry for the ramble there...back to my original question; in your opinion/experience, does the weathered affect bbt to the degree that it has affected my chart?
