Light Show - does it help your baby sleep and which one?

At the moment Mitchell loves looking at light. If he is crying it really helps to calm him down.

I'm thinking about getting a light show thing for his cot. However I'm keen to hear your experiences before I go and get one. Did it help your baby sleep or just overstimulate them? If you are a fan, which one do you have?

    Cheers,
    Fiona

We had one with both DD1 & DD2 when they were babies, up until around 12 months of age. We had the same one for both girls, can't remember the name of it though. But it's in the shape of a star ?? They absolutely loved it, it was their 'cue' that it's sleep time.

We have 2 different ones for DS.

Tomy Starlight Dreamshow (which is the one I think Jodi is talking about as it is in the shape of a star, 3 different tunes and can be set for 5 or 10 min.
I must say this is a hit with DS!! Even talks to the bears as they move around....super cute!!
(I actually bought a back up one just in case the orginal one dies....that's how much he likes it

Also have a Fisher Price Soothe and Glow Seahorse...which he sleeps with during the day.
It has 8 lullabies which last for about 5 min.
