While DS is still working out day time wee's, he's pretty much ready to ditch night nappies!
For over 2 weeks now he's been waking up dry. For weeks before that he'd only wear them from about midnight til he woke at 6 to get it off & would go back to sleep & wake dry at about 8. But the nappy would be wee'd in when on.
So in the lsat 2 weeks, we've had one wee in an over night nappy.
He now does every poo in either the potty or toilet & very rarely wee's in someone elses house. At home though.... yeah.
He's getting better at telling me though, so I can take him to the toilet or outside. He won't wee in the potty.
We often go out for a bit with him just in shorts.
But anyway.... wow....not 2 for over a month & look where he's at! My girls were about 2.5 before they even considered attempting TT. I'm gonna give this no night nappy thing ago.
Just one thing I wanted to ask...I'm sure his fluid intake is enough. Specially with BFing, but at 22 months is it ok for him to not wee over night. Should I worry about dehydration? It doesn't seem like it, but the girls were over 4 when the night nappies/frequent bed wetting stopped.
It just depends on the child. I knw a girl who was night time trained at 18 months, yet my DS is still in night nappies and hes going to kinder this year.
My dd was tt day and night by 22 months. I don't think it's too young. She was waking up dry from about 18 months. Some kids can just hold on longer at an earlier age. The only thing with dd is I don't givE her milk to drink from lunchtime onwards. She only has water. You're little man is going great guns
