Our little boy has apparently decided that he wants to be a champion sleep fighter. He is almost 10 months old and has always slept OK at night (usually needs a few resettles) but is a bit of a catnapper suring the day.
Our challenge is that he doesn't seem to like going to sleep. We have tried to establish good positive predictable going to bed routines, although I am not sure this is helping because he sometimes starts to get worked up during the routine, especially when we put on his sleeping bag (as we only do this when we are getting ready to put him to sleep). We are still cuddling him to sleep but he almost always wages a solid struggle at that magical moment when he is about to drop off to sleep. Sometimes he chucks a big wobbly and other times he drifts off to sleep first. We are always praying for the drift-off.
Our challenges seem to be getting worse rather than improving. Any suggestions or experiences with these types of challenges will be enthusiastically welcomed.
