Cookie I am really sorry hear your levels aren't going down anymore. I am not really up to date with the treatment so I don't know if there are any other options other then the methotrexate. I hope there is. If not I pray the next few months fly by quickly so you can ttc again (if thats what you want). It really sucks to loose a much wanted baby and then have to wait so long to try again. Mid last year I went through the same thing. Stupid Dr's said I wasn't even pregnant and I'd m/c when clearly I hadn't. It was a month convincing someone I was still pregnant and then another 3 months to recover for surgery. Then more surgery and it was so hard. I am sure when you start ttc again I will still be hear hopefully moving onto IVF. I've kind of lost all hope that it will happen the old fashioned way now. Anyhow huge Its a 3month wait isn't it if you only have one injection/infusion? If that is what happens I pray that time goes quickly for you and ttc isn't so difficult.
Murraycod sound like your sure this cycle wasn't successful but just wanted to say I hope it was. A while ago you said you would have to have another stim cycle. Just curious why doesn't your snowbub get put back first over a full stim cycle? Not sure how it all works although I am sure we will be heading that way later this year. I know another stim cycle means more opportunities is that why?
Mummyof4 sorry stupid AF arrived. I hope its the last one before your BFP shows itself.
Welcome chickybabe. Hope we can be bellybuddies again. We were ealier although my visit was very shortlived.
Welcome to all the newbies also.
Dory hope everything is going well.
ciara.e I am praying hard for a sneaky bean to pop in and be very sticky.
Crafty hope those boys of your are spoiling you and you concieve another bubs this cycle.
Got to run so sorry for not getting through everyone. Me I am CD15 just waiting to O.

    SPF that is so cute!!

Emmy, my litle snowbub in waiting, well, FS would prefer if I had another Stim Cycle, because fresh cycles are more successful, and that blastocyst thaw survival rate is only 50% so they prefer to thaw 2 at a time.
I prob could convince him to thaw 1 if I so desperately wanted, but it would be awful to go through the TWW lead up, to be let down on the day of ET having Harvey No2 not survive the thaw.

I have an appt with FS on 17th Feb do discuss options, but sure we will settle for April/May, after our grape harvest....you see, I have pushed my DH to the ultimate psychological limit these past few weeks, now it's his turn to do it to me!!!! Harvest time woohoo!!!

Then we can focus back on harvesting me

Cookie - sweetie, I am lost for words. I will miss your wisdom and wit but so totally understand you need to take a break from here. I hope to see you around soon having realised the dream. Go well, and you will be in my thoughts. Take care of yourself and thankyou for thinking of me and giving me such perfect advice even in the midst of your turmoil.

TTCALC - good luck at your appointment - looking forward to hearing the news.

Murraycod - oh my blossom. I still have faith, but I think I am a little too niaive about things some times. Whatever happens, I hope you make your way through it.

T Hopes - that sucks - 37 days is mamoth.

Everyone else, sorry I am not here for long today. I am thinking of you all and hoping for cycles to settle and big O's to occur when they should and lots of shaggy time, and a BFP, and tears of joy.

AFM - Thanks for your words of support. This past week has been a little easier emotionally and mentally for me. I am actually seeing some glimmers of hope. That is truly a blessing. And I haven't done that all by myself, I think in part its due to the shared wisdom of we sisters in shared pain. So, thankyou for helping me be able ot make this week a good week. Only 10 days to my appointment and early scan.

Murrycod-you seem so sure this cycle has failed WHY!!! have you been poasing remember some times it can be to early to show up and if you are sure it hasnt worked try not to look at it that way look at it as you first trial and error attempt out of the way the FS now knows how you respond to drugs ect and you got one snow bub to fall back on so the next cycle you can go in to it with more knowledge and there will be no wondering how it all works i know how devastating it feels the heartache of doing everything right and it still doesnt turn out the way we want it just isnt fair you are strong and i know you will get through the next few days whatever the out come i have my fingers crossed for you and i am here when you need me i am home from holiday and my email is up and running but i do check up on you all every day just not up to posting just yet but had to jump in when i read your post.

    Hello Ladies..
Well I went to my appt. and i kinda felt very akward probably cause its my first time being there but i didnt feel right at all..
but she really didnt say much at all except that af should be here by end of month or sometimes begining next month..

She also said that with blighted ovum ,after you ttc again that usually you will have a healthy child which im glad to hear..

So she started me on prenatal pills to get my body filling better.
and also set up my DF for a sperm testing... since it took 10 yrs to concecive our first she wants to make sure there isnt aythign going on with him then if all comes back K with him then we will work on me to try and help me conceive faster..
which i know NOW we can conceive its just keeping the baby from m/c and getting me to conceicve again
she also said for me to wait 3 cycles.. but seriously i dont think i can wait that long..Is it a real serious issue to wait that long or they just rather u wait so your body gets back to normal? so that got me worried cause DF & I have never used protection before and i dont tink i would like them actually after 10 yrs of no protection..

I kinda feel lost cause some of my questions didnt get answered and she never checked me at all.. and i asked her about low progstone(sp?) and she said that is a total thing from me, but i thought that had to do with blighted ovum ...

any feed back on this will be apprecited thanks!!

So Should i wait for 3 cycles or get it going on after my 1st cycle??

    xoxox
hugs to all & for you all!

TTCALoveChild to be honest I wouldn't wait for 3months. Once AF arrives I would try again. I was told the same to wait for 3cycles after my ectopic to ttc again which was actually 4months. I did wait but I wish I didn't. I waited mainly as I convinced myself that my last tube was blocked and I was concerned I'd have another ectopic but looking back on it I wouldn't wait again. Just one cycle to get an AF but thats it. But then that is me.

Anita- Dr's seem to vary in their opinion of waiting. After my blighted ovum in July 2008 ( wow was it been that long?, seems like yesterday) my obsterician in essence said to wait for 1 cycle and then no worries to try again immediately. I was lucky and didn't have to wait for long for things to settle down.

But it depends on the reason the Dr wants you to wait. Be brave girl and call the Dr back and ask the questions you didn't get answered and ask why they want you to wait.

I leave appointments sometimes not having all my questions answered, and it drives me crazy that I forgot to pursue the answer. Sometimes my brain just goes to jelly. So you're not alone. Your Dr should be accommodating of your extra questions, I think.

You can do it! I would be reluctant to wait too.

Hi ladies, I'm just sneaking in here very nervously

I see you're talking about when to try again & if you should wait? I am now 17 days post D&C, we lost our little one just short of 10 weeks. Anyway, I went to see my Dr today & he said there is no problem with just going for it now. I've read that most of the time people are told to wait at least until AF has returned, does anyone know why that is (other than for dating purposes)?

    Hi Ladies:

Can I join you all in here.
Here's a bit about my story,
I lost my teeny baby at 8 weeks on 6 Jan (which was also my birthday). I didn't have a D&C on recommendation from my ob and then I ended up with an infection and extra scans but with no retained "products" Oh how I hate that term!!!!
Anyway I am just waiting now for the bleeding to stop and I will be TTC again, it took 21 months to conceive this one, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't take that long again.

Saw my ob last week and he said there was no need for us to wait to start trying again, he also mentioned that the cycle after m/c is a very fertile time, has anyone else heard this???

Anyway just wanted to say hi and introduce myself in here.

    Hi Kirsten and Sarah
Sorry to hear of your losses. I started straight away after my m/c as the only reason I could find that Drs want you to wait (especially after a D&C) is so the uterine lining has time to thicken up again. From what I read this is a bit silly cos if it is not thick enough then a bub won't stick anyway. I have read several stories of women conceiving before the first A/F after a m/c. I have heard that you are more fertile then but not sure if this is a myth as your levels have to go back to zero to O anyway so it may just be that your body is more likely to remember what its supposed to do.

    Hope that helps.

AFM- still huge bbs, and nausea most of yesterday. Super super faint line on HPT (that you could really only see if you were a completely hysterical TTC woman!!!) definitely not enough to get excited about but
