    Help!! I'm in agony

Has anyone else had a burning, tearing pain at the top middle of their ribs right between the BB's.. I have checked a couple of times to make sure my skin hasn't torn (that's what it feels like has happened).. I'm rubbing in sorbolene to help it stretch but that hasn't done much either... Freaking out a little cause this bub has still got quite a way to go yet.. Anyone had the same or have any ideas...

    Thanks Ladies

I did get uncomfortable pains up in that area. Does it feel any better if you stretch and lean backwards? might be a foot shoved up in there...?

Gee, I don't know sorry! I think the heat pack sounds wise. What if you hang on all fours, does the baby move into a better position? I hope you get some answers soon xxxx

oh hun, sorry to hear your in pain i hope you feel better soon

if its hot and a burning type of feeling then do you think it could be heartburn?
but then if its painful and feels like someone has stabbed you right in the middle between your boobs, then do you think it could be gall stones?? i have had many many gall stone attacks and i now have my gall bladder out, but the pain is right in the middle of your boobs and the pain goes through to your back and its very very painful.

i am hoping that its just heartburn or something. if it gets to bad and your worried about it then maybe you should ring the hospital and have a talk to them about it, they might be able to give you some suggestions as to what it might be or what you might be able to do to help with the pain.

if you need anything please call, i am always here for you hun xxx

please let me know how you go ok, i am worried about you

    *hugs*
I had it when DS had his foot stuck (for over 20hours!) under my ribs - i couldn't do anything to make it feel better I would definitely try a heat pack or a hot water bottle
I hope you feel better soon hun

Thanks for all your replys Ladies... It's not anything (eg.. Foot) stuck under there.. It really is only skin deep..I am now getting occaisional heartburn and it's not the same... I do feel like my ribs are a little crushed but in reverse if that makes sense.. I guess I mean like being forced outwards..

Lil Kracker I think is carrying pretty high and I think it is my skin stretching from the middle of my BB's but feels like i'm running out of skin IYKWIM... I will try a heat pack but so far the only thing that is really helping is lying in the pool where I think all the weight is taken off my skin...

This has been slowly getting worse for well over a week now and I guess i'm just hoping that as he decends down lower that this pain will go away cause the idea that this might go on for another 10 weeks is really messing with my head... If it gets worse I will definitely be calling my middie...

    Mwah for all your help..

Pop an ice pack or bag of peas on the top of your belly to encourage your little one to move down.

They really don't like the cold feeling so tend to move.

The good news is being that he is baby 1 for you, they tend to engage earlier (around 33 weeks) and that will automatically take the pressure off that part

Hope you feel better soon xx

    Big

I had a similar pain although mine started earlier, I had my physio work at it, but the relief only lasted a couple of hours, it was my ribs pulling appart

Unfortuately for me it didn't repair it self until after DD was born, but once she was born it was instant relief

I rubbed it, used heatpacks, anything "natural", but the pain itself it is really quite distracting as well, so it can be hard to concentrate at times.

You could perhaps try a physio or chiro and see if they can give you any ideas.

    Thanks again Ladies...

You have all made me feel better and less freaked out with your replys.. I think I have just run out of room for now as it does seem worse the longer the day moves on and i think that's because i've added food into an area that is already at breaking point as it is a lot less painful when I get up in the morning...

Thanks Mummato2.. The idea that he will move down in a couple of weeks gives me some hope.. I realise that we are all different but I have to have something to cling to.. I will also try the frozen peas or icepack because a cold face washer soothed it a bit last night but the cold doesn't last long enough..

Lulu - Lol.. I can't wear a bra ATM.. I went and got refitted cause I thought that was the problem but have not been able to wear them since.. Sorry world for my unrestrained BB's..

I might consider a chiro or physio in a week or so or maybe see my accupuncturist.. I think if he moves down this will go as I really do think that I am just too full of baby and will give getting him to shuffle around a go first..

    Thanks again...

Owwwww. xo Do you think it's your skin stretching, since you said it feels like your skin tearing. I remember I had pressure sores that were soooo sore. They happened with my first, who was a decent size but didn't drop til later in the game (my second dropped at about 20 weeks so no pressure sores there). I guess there's not heaps you can do, just try to keep it moist with oil/moisturiser and as Lu says, maybe some heat like a hot washer might relieve the pain? xo

I hope bub drops for your sake. But then you'll be in here complaining about a different sort of discomfort.
