    Cot Sheet Sets

Does anyone actually use the top sheet or pillowcase included in the pack??

I have some gorgeous Bubba Blue linen packs of which I've only used the fitted sheet, is it possible to sew the flat sheet into a fitted sheet?

Oh, and where do you buy pillows that actually fit into that teeny tiny pillowcase?!

I use Kiddopotamus wraps for wrapping so flat sheets aren't used for wrapping by us if you were thinking of another way to use the flat sheet.

    TIA!

When your little man gets older, he'll use the top sheet, no problem! I also use the top sheet in the car

Look for "junior" pillows - they are at Adairs, Harris Scarfe, Myer etc. I haven't looked at Target or KMart. Guess they'd also be at BabyCo / Baby Bunting ...

Our DS is almost 2 and going into a big boy bed this week so I've never used the top sheet.

Thanks for the places about the pillows though.

We got a quilt from my mother, and a sheet set with a pillow cover, we are just using them as decoration, but neither of them would fit a junior pillow in them and they were both different sizes! I just sewed up normal sized pillows so that it would fit and it looks great now.. still waiting on a baby to enjoy it with me though

Our cot converts into a juniour bed..that's when I use mine. The pillow case then as well as I use a small pillow.
I got the boys a made to measure pillow and the small pillow case fits those really well.
Only used the the top sheet right at the start as a newborn for a couple of weeks then only a fitted sheet and put them into a gro bag or snug time suite depending on weather.

We never bought cot sets... just folded single sheets in half... but we were given some with those little pillow cases... my mum just bought some wadding and made up a pillow to size... easy as.

I use the pillowcase to store the clean set in - I do the same with all of our linen when not being used so I can find the whole matching set in one go. As I don't use a pillow for the cot sets (yet) the one matching the set in use just stays in the ironing basket until I wash the matching set (with all my odd socks!). Then they get folded and stored in the pillowcase.

With the top sheet, until they are older I keep one in the nappy bag as a ground cover/change table/ shadecloth.... and another in the boot of the car for the same reason.

    Hey Sequoia!

We didn't use our top sheets for ages either. But we do a bit now, like when it's hot miss L might just have a top sheet on. Also, like Spooky, we use ours over the change table when I'm washing the cover for that.
As for teeny weeny pillows, we got ours from baby road I think.

ps. How funny if we are both in hospital at the same time!!

I use my top sheets just as much as my fitted.. If the fitted one is in the wash I use the flat sheet just tucked in around the mattress, like you would a fitted sheet. I only use the pillow cases to store the linen out of that set, so they are nice and neat in the cupboard.

I use a terry cloth nappy over the cover on the change table, I just tuck it in underneath. Will try Babyroad for the pillow, ta.

OMG! I would love if we were there at the same time! If Chris is away, maybe Simon will be running between birthing suites, hehe!

I used the top sheets to fold over the top of Charlie's blanket and save it from vomit. A blanket was hand knitted out of pale pink baby wool for her and she used to chuck non stop. I also use the top sheets as a bottom sheet in an emergency (AKA moving house and DP packing misc items into random boxes)

I use the pillow case (unstuffed) under his head to catch the dribble & spew - If there's not too much it saves me having to change the bottom sheet. I use the flat sheet as a bottom sheet too, but once he starts moving he'll might untuck it.
