How long did it take you to fall pregnant after an ectopic?
I dont know if this thread has been done, none the less I need some advice. I had an ectopic pregnancy last June, waited 3 months, and have been trying since Oct 09. I did have a chemical pregnancy in Nov. I know I am probably being impatient, but it is very hard when I have friends and family falling pregnant left right and center. Previously DH and I could get pregnant within a month of trying. Now...I feel like my fertility is gone? Anyone been in the same situation? How long did it take you after an ectopic to get pregnant again?
Thanks for asking MadsMum as I have been wondering the same thing. I have been tcc 4cycles and no BFP for me yet. But I was having trouble concieving prior to my ectopic bub. Also before that I had no trouble getting pregnant. No1 was 4months (but wasn't living with dp so probably missed the window) and No2 was concieved on birth control. The wait sucks. I can't wait to know the end of this journey for me although that probably means wishing my life away to a degree.
I hope it hurries up and happens for you.
I'm new to these forums, but thought it was worthwhile sharing my experience on this one.
I had an ectopic in Jan 07 (first pregnancy for me) and lost a tube. We started trying again straight away. I was feeling pretty despondent, as I knew it could take longer than a year to fall pg again. The obst said my other tube looked 'ok', but that did not fill me with a lot of confidence. I think it took a few months for my cycle to right itself, but we kept trying. Just when I thought it would never happen, we conceived again in June 07. I had ovulated from the side with the remaining tube. It was a fantastic pregnancy and resulted in my delightful little boy, who is almost 2.
We've now been trying again for about five months with no luck. Hope it happens soon!
Good luck to you others out there. It can and will happen.
