Should i send her to school tomorrow?

The kids have been sick for around 2 weeks now. First Orson had some sort of gastro thing. Then Charlie and Lily started with it. Then all of a sudden Charlie and Lily started having huge temps yesterday. Charlie 39 and Lily almost 38. Today they were perfectly fine and now tonight they both have a temp of 38 again. I've no idea what is going on with them and i'm not sure if i should send Lily to school tomorrow. Last week she missed 3 days. I don't want her falling behind. But it's like they're only sick at night and that doesn't make sense. I'm not sure what to do.

I would see how they are in the morning. If they seem ok in the morning, let them know if they start feeling yuckky they can come home - Thats what i do

Hmm, I don't think I would. I would take them to the doc tomorrow and give her time to rest for tomorrow and depending on what the doc said, I would take her on Tuesday. But I tend to err more on the side of 'what if', and prefer to keep my kids home for longer than necessary. Plus I only work part time, so it's easier to take time off work for me.

I wouldn't send her, she might need to rest for a little while longer to fight it off. I wouldn't worry about getting behind in prep xoxoxo

Whenever my kids are like that (really high temp that comes and goes) it's always a bloody ear infection. DS has even had a burst ear drum once. I'd take them to the Dr. to get them checked for those sort of things.

We don't have prep here. She goes to primary school which is why i was worried she'd fall behind since they learn a lot this year.

I took her temp just then and it's back to 36.5.

As a teacher, you could always ask her teacher for some work to do at home if you're worried she'll miss stuff.
As a parent-to-be, I'd take her to the doc, just to be on the safe side.
If you do decide to send her, let her (and her teacher) know that if she feels worse, you can come and collect her.

Prep here IS primary school - and I still wouldn't worry about her falling too far behind. The teacher will probably have some worksheets she can do and she can throw glue and paper around at home too..
