Doulas - where did you advertise yourself?

    Hi Ladies,

I have been a Doula for 6 years on the Gold Coast and always had a fairly steady flow of clients. However since moving to the Sunshine Coast its been a bit slow Im just wondering where fellow Doulas have been advertising??. My details are on FindaDoula and I have just applied to have them on the Optimum Birth website. Any other suggestions?.

Hi mumma bear I haven't seen you for a while... I can see that you are no longer trying for a pink one I'm sorry if that didn't work out too well. To answer your question I've also wondered about where to find a Doula on the sunshine coast! and I didn't even know that you were a doula. I would suggest contacting all the OB's, midwife clincs the hospitals and any other health care providers you have a relationship with and give them your cards, flyers etc and even offer to come in and chat with them or give free workshops about your services and what a Doula does etc... Even offer to give a talk and offer birthing 'tips' to antenateal classes, there must be loads of classes over the coast you can attend. Further than that give your business cards to everyone you meet and tell them you are looking for work, even drop your cards off at all the child care centers on the coast. Hope that helps

    Hi there Cherished,

I sent you a PM Congratulations on your pregnancy. How exciting. Well, if you want an experienced Doula, you know where to find one

Thankyou so much for all of those recommendations. I will definitely have to think about it.

Where abouts on the Sunny Coast were you??
