I had my first Ob appointment this week (not really happy with it for a few reasons) during my visit he suggested I consider having my tubes tied during my c-section coming up in August.
I explained to him that I had already considered this but had decided against it due to hearing about the possibility of having heavy painful periods thereafter.
He kind of laughed it off and said its rediculous to assume that tubal ligation causes such problems because they are not interferring with the hormones so if women are having problems afterward its more likely that they were women who were longtime pill users and now that they were not taking the pill their periods have returned to what they would be normally.
I dont know what to think about this now. If he's right, and its only due to being longtime pill users, then i shouldnt have a problem because i'm not a longtime user.
Would love some advice on his comment from those who have used the pill for a long time and then had a TL. What was the difference for you after the TL
and for those who had not been longterm users of the pill and had a TL, what was the difference for you?
