    what do you first think?

HI I think overdue bubs is a girl, and for some time have wanted to call it Ruby louise.

I'm annoyed because I have heard this name used somewhere recently, my sister assures me no one will make the connection, so I'm putting it out there.

What first springs to your mind when you hear that name.

I will probably still go with it as 'I had it first'!!! but just interested in the responce.

    Thanks

I haven't heard it used anywhere so I just thought it sounded like a nice name I have a friend with a baby girl Ruby and she is a little sweetie.

I haven't heard that particular combo, but there are a fair few Rubys around, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Packed to the Rafters? But I really don't think anyone will think you have taken it from there or really make the connection unless they are a big fan. In a few years the show will be gone and your daughter will still have that beautiful name.

    I'd still use it too.

    Thanks ladies,

Lana, I don't watch that show, but had read about it in the paper, and growled.

I was originally considering Grace, but after some thought, figured that Grace wouldn't suit a member of my family, we have none of that stuff

Ruby would probably suit any daughter of mine much better, My fav colour is red, I even got married in it, so I'm hoping people just think that we name her ruby due to that, but to be honest, it's 'cause hubby and I like the song Ruby by the kaiser chiefs. we are sad I know

I have always wanted to name a baby a name from a song I liked, and I was thinking of Ruby because of the Kaiser Chiefs, but didn't go for it in the end - I love the name and think is cool you will be able to sing the song to her.

Lovely name, hardly anyone will remember that show in five years time anyway let alone the name of a baby from that show.

    Good luck.

    I love the name!

TBH - I made the connection straight away because I was in the same position until we found out we were having a boy

I think I would have still used Ruby! Not Louise, as that's my sister's middle name, but we would have still used Ruby.

Everyone has got it right - it'll be gone soon.

Go for it! Love it! Jealous I'm having a boy and I can't use it

Louise is my second name, that's why I choose it.
I've just always liked it as a second name, it works with so many names.
