    My Story

My miscarriage happened when i was 13 weeks in - 'safe'. It wasn't red blood so the doctors weren't too concerned until the ultrasound and they found a foetus that was only 8 weeks and had not foetal heart movement - missed miscarriage. I had a D&C two days later. That was 6 weeks ago and still no period. Many of my friends are expecting, and many more are announcing so that is harder; i hadn't told many people so i suppose that makes it easier in some ways, but those who did/do know haven't been very helpful. Everyone has expected me to be back to normal now, to be coping fine. I keep going through so many emotions. I feel like i had a promise of a future and that has been taken away and i have to start all over again.
People seem to have the attitude that its easier because the pregnancy was unplanned. It was unplanned but NOT unwanted - there is a difference.
How do i move on? I dont have a clue right now.

ohhh hun I am really so sorry for the loss of your precious angel ...... allow yourself to greive - get mad, cry, yell, scream...... take all the time you need to, you will never forget your angel nor should you..... When I lost mine I made a specail box - painted it, put flowers on it and placed the botties in there and my HPT and have it in a spcecail place..... It will be hard for you especailly when people all around you are pregnant and you all you want is so desparately to be pregnant - I remember that feeling and got so angry at the world.........all I can say is that in time the pain eases ever so slightly but the memory is never forgotten ......... sending you big hugs xxxx be gentle to yourself hun

Butterfly - how you doing? I am sorry for the loss of your precious and wanted baby now with the angels.

In all honesty, I can't say how you move forwards. One moment at a time and just going with how you feel? You need time to grieve your loss, and as you imply, the loss of your dreams of motherhood for this baby. Those are proper and valid feelings. You need to grieve.

I remember I used to be so scared about what the next step after the crying all the time stoppped. I am not really sure what it is, it sort of sneaks up on you. Time doesn't heal, but it does help you process your feelings and start to feel more connected with the world.

Take care and I hope you're doing ok.
