PCOS and the Pill.. so confused

    Hi there ladies,

I am so confused, I do not understand what is happening with my body.

I have been diagnosed with PCOS, then my period stopped totally so the fs put me on the pill to make it come so I could have the dye test.

He asked me to stay on the pill until I could get in to see him again (which will be this monday), so I have had 1 full cycle as normal and I am just finishing up my second cycle on the pill on day 4 of the sugar tablets but no period. Can anyone tell me what is going on? I actually had a bit of spotting about 4 days before the suger tabs were due to start.

I don't understand what is happening to my body. If anyone has had similar experience I would love to hear your opinion.

    cheers

    What pill are you on?

I would mention this to your doctor when you see them next.

I am on Microgynon 20 ED. I will definately be mentioning to the FS on Monday I was hoping a few ladies on here would be able to reassure me and tell me that it has happened to them and is normal. I guess not, but thanks anyway.

The same thing did happen to me, but i never found out why my body did what it did. I was put on yasmin as my doctor said it was the pill they used to regulate periods. It caused me migraines so thats why i stopped taking it. Hopefully your FS will be able to explain it better to you. I'm sorry you didnt find the answers you wanted.

When I was on that pill my period was just some spotting. It wasn't like a "normal" period so to speak. It only lasted a couple of days when it did come.
I also found that on the microgynon (sp?) that i wasn't getting my period until the last 2/3 days of the sugar pills hence my drs decision to change it.
I guess everyone has different experiences on it and it's a matter of trial and error sometimes.
Definatly have a chat to your dr hun and see how you go. I hope you can work something out. xx
