blocked tube hydrosalpinx/endometriosis

hello everyone,

my husband and I are 2 years married and been trying to conceive for 1 year now. Before marriage I was not sexually involve and my husband is my first . After 1 yr of TTC , we went to a specialist and I was told that I have hydrosalpinx in my left tube. I couldn't believe it bcoz the RE told me that hydrosalpinx is a result of a PID infection( chlaumydia, gonorrhea) or endometriosis. I was not involve sexually before so PID was out of question. I had HSG done and left tube was definitely blocked, did laparoscopy and my left tube was removed and RE told me that she saw small endo around and removed them.I want to know if anyone went through the same thing and what happen, please share.

I am now left with one tube and want to know if anyone had children after laparoscopy and how long it took them with one tube?

Hi, I have hydrosalpinx. I had a laparotomy in 2007, had 50cm of bowel removed, appendix, bladder segmentation, left tube removed and bi lateral endometriomas on both ovaries. endo removed from other areas in a 6hour procedure. Since the surgery i have been placed on synarel and HRT and have been on them for almost 3 years to try and give me the best chance at conceiveing when im ready. Unfortuantely i have a lot of pain now and after a few ultrasounds it has shown my remaining tube is adhered to my bowel with hydrosalpinx. Will have to have it removed eventually. I wasnt ready to conceive after my surgery and was in hospital for almost 3 weeks and off work for close to 4 months.

im interested to know next steps as well but im atleast 3 years off considering coneciving i would say and im thinking thats too long to be in a drug induced menopause :/

I have only one tube which I lost from an ectopic pregnancy in Sep 09. I had been ttc a year when I fell pregnant with that pregnancy whichwas July 09. When I had the surgery to remove my tube and pregnancy I was told I had PID and mild endo. I had never had an STD. I was accused of causing my infertility from my PID which was just awful as I have not been promiscuous (although I know you don't have to be to get it its just a risk factor) so to the Drs I shouldn't have had it. A few Drs have been very accusing where as a few others have said they do see women with it that have not even been sexually active. I haven't had hydrosalpynx although do have one tube now and endo and my remaining tube is not normal although I am told its functioning (but I am at risk of another ectopic pregnancy)

So far I haven't been pregnant again since my surgery although we have been trying. We are going to start IVF soon but thats mainly our decision most Drs I have spoken too (thats alot as I work in a similar field) have said to wait longer (although 2 Drs who did my surgery adviced IVF from the first surgery from the amount of damage) Its now been 2years and we have done our waiting and praying and hoping and have decided IVF gives us the most hope of having a baby in the near future then continuing on ttc naturally.

There are a number of women on this sight with only one tube and have fallen pregnant without any trouble. Actually I feel like one of only a very small number that hasn't been able to fall pregnant with my one damaged tube. Wishing you the very best of luck and hope you have a BFP asap.
