Music Gurus Wanted - Soundtrack for VBAC

    Hi Everyone,

Thanks to Arimeh who has inspired me to get this thread going! I am wanting to put together a soundtrack that is inspirational and motivational for my pending VBAC. I don't want whale songs, or rainforest drips or Enya. I want something that is going to keep me moving and motivated. The song that I keep hearing that is definitely going on the list is "I'm a woman on a mission..." by Gabriella Cilmi.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions to add to my list? They don't have to be fast paced or anything, just inspirational and/or motivational. They don't even have to relate to birth in any way either!! I will put them on the iPod so I can skip over them if I find they don't work on the day!

    Thanks everyone!

    Eva Cassidy...Fields of Gold
Jenny Morris...Little Little (she wrote this when she was pregnant)
Eels...In my dreams (anything by the Eels really )
Flaming Lips..Fight Test, they also do a really cool version of Kylies Can't you get out of my head.

Good luck with your impending VBAC

When I had my VBAC I had Jack Lim's Qigong music playing on repeat (I'm pretty sure it was Inner Peace). I never got sick of it and it really helped settle the mood. I don't think I could have had music with lyrics, this was just perfect. And that combined with dim lighting and my oils burning it made for a very peaceful and empowering ambiance.

oh I just posted some in the discussion thread but I'll re post them here for you...
    The climb by Miley Cyrus
Stand in the Rain by Superchick
    Little Wonders by Rob Thomas
They were some of the ones I purposefully put on my iPod but otherwise I just had my iPod on random. Just listening to my favourites was fine I found, even when the odd metallica played

Perhaps not anyone else's style, but I really like a bit of Rock music.
I think that the theme to the Rocky movies "Eye of the Tiger" would be good.
I am also adding Queen, Michael Jackson, and a heap of Jazz too!
If you have an ipod you could have a few playlists with different styles depending on what you're after at the time.
I'll keep checking this for other ideas, because I'm planning on doing the same thing.
