I have one - they are designed by the original designers of Phil and Teds. P&T are now owned by someone else. Nothing to do with Mountain Buggy as far as I'm aware.
It's an NZ brand so a bit hard to find over here. We got one because we like that the toddler seat sits up on top of the pram (like a shopping trolley) rather than at the front, blocking the view of the younger child like all the other 3 wheelers I see. I get so many comments on it when I'm out and about "gee that's a good idea" sort of thing. And we felt it would be a more stable arrangement than having the toddler seat at the front.
Plus DH is a Kiwi so got all patriotic...
It's a great pram for a 3 wheeler, easy to fold down but when it does fold down it's a bit long so you'd want to make sure it fits into your boot.
It's especially good for days out at the zoo and that kind of thing...toddler can sit up high and see everything, baby can still see everything but snooze peacefully at nap time.
We bought ours in 2006, from memory it was about $700, but that included all the rain and sun covers which you would normally have to buy separately. We bought the toddler seat at the same time which I think was an extra $200.
I have a double Adventure buggy (another ebay purchase) and am totally in love with it. Adventure buggy is owned & run by Phil & Ted Green and then they also created the P & T buggy. It's a fantastically stable double buggy - very sturdy. The basket ( actually a backpack!) is very spacious and accessible. This is something that is often compromised on other twin prams.
The only downside i find is it's heavy - about 15 kg I think. It's not an issue for me as i only use it when i'm walking from the house. If i need to go in the car I use a P& T. I find it easy to manoevre pushing a 3.5 yr old (on an attached skateboard), a 2 yr old & a newborn. We just look like we're a 4WD in a pram!!
The buggy is great, the customer service is fantastic and if you get it on ebay you should save a bit as they're expensive new. Good luck!
