Talking I took on our CC and had a win for Cloth Nappies for DD!!!!!!

    Woooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

I finally got a reply today to the huge letter I sent our Childcare Centre, and WE get to keep using Cloth Nappies on DD!!!!! Because I am an 'avid cloth nappy user'... BUT..... we are the ONLY one's who get to use the Cloth Nappies in the Centre, and they will NOT be amending their policy . They have allowed us to continue using based on "your extremely conscientious strategies to resolve our areas of concern. The solutions you have put in place are detailed and will hopefully proove success"

A couple interesting points from their response "The Director had never heard of, seen or read ANYTHING about Modern Cloth Nappies" and that it did say in the newseltter than announced the ban that we could respond, I have read it a couple of times and it didn't say that at all

But it doesn't matter because I won the right to send my daughter to Childcare with Cloth Nappies and know that they are approved and are to be used

Certainly goes to show if you are really passionate about something, you can put up a fight and win, but I am dissappointed that they aren't considering it across the board, all they would need is to add some steps that I am undertaking to keep using the cloth nappies, so that it would be the same for all users of cloth......

Anyway, just doing a little jig

Good on you hun! Great stuff. Doing a little jig for you here too

I'm pretty sure DS is the only cloth nappy kid at his CC - some of the carers had never seen MCN but thankfully they didn't have a problem. One quick demo and they've been awesome about using them.

Maybe over time your CC will broaden the policy to include others? It would be hard to argue against allowing another bub in cloth since they're ok with yours.
