Question accupucture in melbourne for turning breech baby

Just wanted to see if any of you lovely ladies have any good recommendations?

A good fried of mine is due is 5 weeks (VBAC) and her little one is breech.Hosp is pushing to book in a Cesarean already. She's asked me if I can ask around to see if anyone can recommend someone for her.

If not an acupuncturist, any other things you have found successful in turning a breech baby.

    TIA

I used Kirsten Doughty at mornington complimentary medicine in tanti Ave mornington for induction accupuncture. She also does accupuncture for breech. She was reccomended by my IM. You can find her in the yellow pages under Acupuncture.

Otherwise try a chiro, they can do what's called the websters technique to turn a breech bub. (they try to loosen the ligaments on the left side of the uterus to allow bub to turn). I had my chiro do it at 30 weeks when my 3rd was breech. By 32 weeks at next ob appointment bub was head down (I also did other things to try to turn her).

If she isn't already, get her to check out spinning babies website for other ideas.
    Hope bub turns for her!!

I had it done. I found most accupuncturist will offer it. I had to do it over the Xmas/NY holiday, so I rang a few. Just some will be more experienced than other's i guess.
They will more than likely give your friend the moxi sticks to do it at home herself as well.

Loulabelle, just wondering how your friend went in the end? Did bub turn?

I have a breech bub too and started acupuncture/moxibustion yesterday.

Mamaspice, I just wanted to offer up an idea that I got from my IM about turning a breech baby. I didn't use it but have suggested it to others who have done it and has worked for some of them even late in the last trimester. Sit in a nice warm/hot bath and put an ice pack (frozen peas will do) where bubba's head is or close to. Theory is the baby won't like the cold and will turn headding to where it is warm. I know of one person who did it at 40 weeks and baby turned . Definatley worth a try cos it is something you can do at home and it's nice and relaxing too.
Hope bub gets moving for you!!

All the best MamaSpice. Did your baby get really active while using the moxi sticks? Mine certainly did. Hope it works out for you, and baby goes head down soon!
